This week, I’ve been talking about building a RICH Career. Each letter stands Can't view this email properly? [View in Browser]() {NAME}, This week, I’ve been talking about building a RICH Career. Each letter stands for a crucial pillar to having an amazing and fulfilling career. Here’s what we’ve covered so far: A Rich Career Relationships are people you can talk shop with. You can reach out to them whenever you need advice, a job lead, or to discuss any career-related topic. And you know they’ll be glad to hear from you. That last part is important because no one wants to feel like they’re always just asking for favors. That’s why I’m holding a free, live class on building great relationships for your career. It’s on Monday, January 29, at 8pm Eastern / 5pm Pacific. [Click here to sign up if you haven’t already](). Netflix launch party At my Netflix launch party. I’ve built great relationships with the IWT team over the years. Income is the fuel for your Rich Life. The more you earn, the more you can save, invest, and splurge on things you love. That’s why I tell my readers to think bigger. And a higher income is possible once you’ve nailed down the “C” in RICH Career. You can suddenly command $20,000 raises (instead of a meager $2,000) after your next annual performance review. So here it is…“C” stands for Confidence. Many people apply to grad school, or pursue certification after certification. They believe these things will give them the confidence to go after what they want. Confidence comes when you know you’re the right person for the job and everyone else knows it too. This is where your relationships come into play If you want to build confidence in landing a great job, and know deep down inside that you’d excel at that job — your relationships are the first place to start! Take someone out to coffee and ask, “Hey, I really want to move up in my career. I’ve been thinking about doing ABC, but also heard that XYZ might be a good option. What are your thoughts?” If you ask a question phrased like this, they will love it! Ramit clapping My reaction when someone asks a great question. First off, it shows you’ve done your research. You’re comparing your options. Second, you’re asking for advice. This makes the other person feel good because all of a sudden, they’re the expert! Ramit ironing People ask me questions about my book, my business, but NEVER about ironing! I’m world class at ironing. Best of all, you’re asking someone working in the industry. So they can probably tell you how to improve your skills and knowledge in a way that’s highly applicable to what you want to do. That will give you confidence. Are you starting to see how all the components of a RICH Career are related? That’s right, the “C” in a Rich Career is also about relationships. Is this making your palms sweaty? If the thought of building these relationships stresses you out, don’t miss my live event on Monday. It’s called Beyond Networking: The top skills you need to build authentic relationships. [Beyond networking]() I’ll share techniques and strategies that’ll put your worries and anxieties at ease — even if you’re introverted and hate making small talk. [Click here to sign up]().
