I’ll teach you exactly how to build a second income stream this year. Can't view this email properly? [View in Browser]() {NAME}, Really quick, before I get into the “best” online business to start: You haven’t signed up [for my live class tonight](). Why not? In the class, I’ll teach you exactly how to build a second income stream this year. We’ll cover how to come up with a business idea — and you’ll see how weirdly simple it can be to add an extra $1,000–$3,000 to your monthly income. Here are the details: Date Wednesday, January 3 Time 8pm Eastern / 5pm Pacific ([see your time zone]()) Cost Free! But you need to register. [Click here to reserve your spot](). [Second income stream in 2024]() What’s the best online business to start? I’ve been teaching people how to start businesses for over 12 years. I’ve heard every question and concern you might have about starting a business…approximately seven hundred thousand times. Here’s one of the most common questions I get: “What’s the best online business to start? Which is a good question. Let me illustrate my answer with a little personal story. I LOVE spicy food. A ton of people do. But if you didn’t grow up eating it, it takes some getting used to. That’s why I’ve considered teaching this class: 60 days to Habanero I’d show people how to eat (and enjoy) spicy food. And voila…demand for habaneros and Thai chili peppers would soar! The New York Times would feature me on the front page of the Food section with the headline, “Indian entrepreneur teaches non-Indians the joy of eating spicy food!” Sadly, there’s just one small problem. NOBODY CARES! Nobody (except for maybe a few die-hards on this list, I appreciate you) would pay for this course. That’s the problem with starting a business based purely on your passion. Passion ≠profit. A while ago, I was [featured in an article with Mark Cuban and Barbara Corcoran](). We all shared the worst career advice we’ve received. 10 successful entrepreneurs [Read some of the worst advice we’ve ever received](). Mark Cuban said the worst advice he got was “Follow your passions.” Bingo! Just because you love something doesn’t make it a viable business opportunity. This is heretical to the advice you hear thrown around by commencement speakers, career “experts,” and maybe even your own parents. Look, I love eating spicy food, but nobody’s going to pay to take a class about it. [Ramit ironing]() I also [love ironing clothes](). But would you really pay me to learn how to iron sharper creases in your shirts?? (You should) Welcome to another one of my guiding rules in life: Passion isn’t everything. And honestly? What a relief! Here’s where you’ll find profitable ideas You’re free to decorate cakes, iron clothes, mountain bike, groom your dog, or eat spicy food purely for the joy. And look, if you WANT to [turn your passion into a business, you absolutely can](). But you don’t HAVE to. Passion is just one element of running a successful business. Passion can easily come later, too — once you find your profitable idea. Profitable business ideas are found at the intersection of: - Things you enjoy. - Things you’re good at. - Things other people will pay for. Profitable business ideas Still stumped? Come to my live session tonight. I’ll walk you through figuring out your own ideas. I promise you have plenty. [Click here to sign up](). See you there, [Signature] P.S. Many people use passion as an excuse for inaction. They wait for passion to strike like lightning: “Once my big idea comes to me, then I’ll start my business!” Uh, that’s not how success works. While wantrepreneurs wait around for their passion, entrepreneurs use a [tried-and-true process to find ideas, test them, and build an income]().
