It’s not because they’re lazy. It’s because of [deeply-rooted invisible scripts](), ubiquitous beliefs about society or ourselves that can sometimes hold us back, even when we genuinely want to change. Think about some of the biggest invisible scripts you may have heard: - You need to go to college to be successful. - After college, you need to get married, buy a house, and raise a nuclear family with 2.5 kids and a dog. - You should follow your passions and your heart. There are invisible scripts around making more money, getting healthier, buying a house or car, parenting, you name it. Sometimes we don’t even know these beliefs are guiding our attitudes and behaviors. So today, I want to dive into the hidden — but common — mindset blocks around finding your dream job. “I don’t know what my Dream Job is” "I don't know what my Dream Job is” secretly means "I'm waiting for it to magically appear." Discovering your Dream Job is a skill you learn, just like learning to ride a bike.
