To view this email as a web page, [click here]() Hey {NAME}, The last few days, weâve been tackling one of the biggest things that stands in the way of starting your own business: The belief that you need to have this unbelievably genius, world-changing idea, otherwise your business wonât be âgood enoughâ or succeed financially. Well, now you know thatâs B.S. But there may be another big fear keeping you from saying yes to my free live class, âMy top 5 rules for creating a 6-figure business.â (Itâs TONIGHT â [itâs not too late to sign up]().) [Top 5 rules for creating 6-figure business.png]() [Click here to sign up]() This fear is insidious, because itâs much harder to pin down than concrete worries like âI donât have an idea.â This particular fear comes disguised as a promise: âIâll do it later.â (Covers of this greatest hit also include âI donât have the timeâ and âThis isnât the right time.â) I get it, {NAME}. Jumping into something new â whether itâs a swimming pool, a new gym routine, or a program that walks you through creating and launching your new business â is a risk. And [weâre biologically wired to avoid risks](). But if youâre always telling yourself âright nowâs not a good time,â thatâs a surefire way to make sure you NEVER do the thing youâre putting off. Thatâs why âIâll do it laterâ is the worst promise you can make. Every time you tell yourself youâll get to something later, you reinforce a dangerous mental habit. When you let yourself off the hook, youâre teaching your brain that you can let yourself off the hook whenever you want. Delaying the hard or scary thing becomes too easy. And after months or years of avoiding looking directly at this goal that you actually want to accomplish but havenât made any progress on, youâll find yourself wondering, âWhy am I still in the same place?â Putting it off is painful Sometimes, we need to stay on the hook. Take fitness as an example. Anyone whoâs ever tried to start a workout habit knows that consistency is 1,000 times more effective than willpower. You wonât have willpower every day. But if you go work out anyway, youâll get stronger, lose weight, and be able to brag about it in an email like this one a few years down the road. [Ramit working out] I was tired of being the âskinny Indian guyâ. So I kept myself on the hook. Same goes for flossing. Itâs never a good time to floss, but you do it anyway. (At least, I hope you do.) There are a million reasons to put it off every night, and 999,999 of them are âI donât feel like it.â But you floss anyway (right?), because you know ultimately itâs the right choice. The agony of having something undone hanging over you is usually worse than just doing the workout, flossing the tooth, taking the leap, starting the business. So are you going to start your business now? Or are you going to do it âlaterâ? An easy first step? Come to my free class tonight at 5pm Pacific / 8pm Eastern. Itâs the perfect way to stay on the hook and get started. Iâll share my 5 essential rules for creating a business that lets you live the life you want, do some live Q&A, and give you a sneak peek into Earnable. Itâs free, but you do have to register. [Click here to sign up](). And if youâre ready to jump right in, [Earnable Live]() is open until Friday. Donât wait for âsomeday.â If youâre ready, [join now](). [Signature] You may be new to IWT.
