I have a friend who wanted to start running. But she felt stuck. To view this email as a web page, [click here]() {NAME}, I have a friend who wanted to start running. But she felt stuck. She said she wanted to run “at least three times a week.” I told her, “Why don’t you just start by running once a week?” “What good would that do?” was her response. I found that fascinating. She would rather dream about running three times a week… than actually running once a week. The same with business. People would rather dream about running a multimillion-dollar business than actually earn $1,000 a month by starting a side hustle. People would rather have aspirations about working for their dream company in their dream role than cold email someone who actually works there to start building relationships and finding out if they actually want to work there! This “all or nothing” mentality leaves us stuck If I sat in my Stanford dorm room dreaming about writing a bestselling book and having a website with a million monthly readers… instead of actually sitting down to write one blog post… you would not be reading this right now. [The early days of IWT]() The early days of IWT. It wasn’t pretty. But I started! So let me ask you: What do you want to do? - Start a business? - Get in shape? - Write a book? - Learn a foreign language? - Take on a new skill? - Something else? Now, how much time would you ideally need to set aside for that? It might be 1 hour, maybe more. Be realistic, do you have that in a day? Don’t forget to include time to eat, use the bathroom, family time, commutes, etc. If you don’t have an hour… great! Start with 30 minutes. If you don’t have 30 minutes, start with 5 minutes. This is how you get unstuck. You start with the smallest possible step. This is just one of many frameworks I have for overcoming barriers and hurdles that keep you from living your Rich Life.
