Here's one recap from [The New York Times]()⦠[Recap from The New York Times] Yes, that's just tech, but what starts in one industry often [spreads]() to others. [Yahoo.com Headline] It's understandable that people are worried. Is this just the tech industry "right-sizing" after the boom in online activity during the pandemic? How far will it spread? Are we heading into a recession? And more importantly, what does this mean for you? Is your job at risk? How will a recession impact your career and income? In times like this, you have two options: - Wait and see. Maybe it's nothing. ¯\_(ã)_/¯ - Take action to recession-proof your career. My recommendation. In times of uncertainty, especially in critical areas like health and career, I believe in taking action, even overreacting. My philosophy on the important things in life: "Panic is bad, but overreaction is good." Worst case scenario with overreacting is you put in a little extra effort but nothing bad happens. Not a big deal. But if you underreact and the worst case happens, the results could be very painful. In the case of a recession, surprise layoffs you aren't prepared for could: - Cost you months of missed income (or more)
- Take away your health insurance
- Stall your savings and investing (costing you even more down the road)
- And, perhaps worst of all, force you to take a less-rewarding job just to get paid again All of those are bad places to be in. That's why top performers NEVER "wait and see" how a looming recession might impact them. They take action and recession-proof their career. I want to show you how they do it. Next Monday, 2/20, I'm hosting a BRAND NEW free class. ("[Sign me up]()!") [How to recession-proof your career]() In the class, I'll pull back the curtain on the proactive steps top performers are taking â right now â to ensure that a recession doesn't derail their career or interrupt their income. - Tactical steps you can take today to protect your job in the event your company faces layoffs. - A systematic plan to make yourself indispensable â and make sure the right people know it, too. - Top performer contingency planning so that any disruptions you can't avoid are minor (or even opportunities to earn more) Instead of worrying about what might happen, take action.
