After all, earning more money is one of the reasons we got into business for ourselves in the first place! And more money lets us live our Rich Life, whether that’s going on more vacations, spending more time with our family, or investing in what we believe in. [Ramit and Cass] Travel is a big part of my Rich Life Remember: Clients pay us for the value we create. If you say “I charge $500 for this service,” and customers say, “Okay,” that’s not a fluke. That’s them agreeing that that’s a reasonable price for what you offer. But when it comes to raising rates, all of those insecurities about charging come back. We’re worried about scaring off the clients we worked so hard to get in the first place. So today, I want to share with you a script you can use to raise your rates. That’s because I’ve heard from a number of clients that it’s something they want, and so I’ll be able to do that for one hour a week for you as a complimentary part of us working together. The other thing is, I’m becoming more selective in the clients I work with. Now, you and I have had a great time working together. We’ve generated $X in revenue. And I’ve helped save countless hours. My rate is going to be going from $X an hour to $Y an hour. If that’s something that you’re not comfortable with, please let me know. I’ll be happy to refer you to someone else who might be a better fit for your cost needs. But if this is something that works for you, these are my plans for the next 30, 60, and 90 days and I would look forward to working with you together. Thanks,Dave What do you notice?
