A few years ago, I was testing strategies and scripts for a course that takes To view this email as a web page, [click here]() {NAME}, A few years ago, I was testing strategies and scripts for a course that takes students from a couple thousand a month to six figures a year. We studied and perfected systems for every stage of business growth — from the psychology of moving up the value chain, to optimizing revenue, automating and outsourcing, and more. I discovered that people making six figures or more don’t get there by accident. They follow a specific process to become trusted, high-dollar advisers. Let me show you a few of the differences between average business owners and six-figure business owners: [Average Business Owners vs Six-Figure Business Owners]() Do you see the difference between the two? Trusted advisers always go the extra mile and always put their customers first. Let me give you an example. I'll walk you through a real proposal an event planner sent me that resulted in a five-figure project. (The lessons here apply whether you sell products or services.) Let’s break down how this proposal made me eager to spend five figures: [Proposal]() WHY THIS WORKS: Decision makers — aka, the people who pay you — are busy. I love this overview because it gives me a quick recap of the project. I especially like that they recommend a venue and give a photo of the venue so that I can visualize the event without having to go to the venue’s website. *** [Sample agenda]() WHY THIS WORKS: Details, details, details, and visualization. The proposal includes information on what attendees get and an additional benefit of this schedule — an optimized budget. With the detailed schedule, I’m not left trying to think through things in my head or open a Google Doc to start brainstorming. I can make changes right on the proposal and send back to them. *** [Revenue & Expense Projections]() WHY THIS WORKS: Details again. I can see how profitable this event will be at a quick glance. I can see exactly where my money is going. *** [Timeline]() WHY THIS WORKS: This gives me key milestones I can track throughout the project. It gives me measurables that I can use to track the contractor’s progress. It also shows me that the contractor has done their homework. This breakdown gives me confidence that they know how long each stage will take and that they’ll be able to deliver. There’s something even more subtle happening here, though: They’re educating me on the value they deliver. Think about your business. How many things do you do behind the scenes that are a huge help to your clients? Do they even know you’re doing them — or why and how it’ll benefit them? Once you spell this out, everything changes. They’ll have more respect for your work and expertise, and they’ll notice that none of your competitors are doing this extra work (or at least, they aren’t telling them about it). *** [Overview of Services]() WHY THIS WORKS: Look at how different this is from many proposals: - I can see at a glance everything the contractor is doing for me - They’re specific, so it’s easier to see the scope of their work - They prove they deliver more value, which makes me more likely to hire them instead of a lower-priced competitor KEY TAKEAWAY: Anyone can move up the value chain — and make more money — once you know how. These are just some of the tactics and strategies you can incorporate into your proposals to “graduate” to higher-end clients, much bigger checks, and more respect. And your proposal is just one of many “growth levers” that can 2X, 5X, or 10X your business. We’ll cover more tomorrow. Talk soon, [Signature] P.S. This is just a fraction of my advanced course on making six figures. I rarely open it. If you aren’t already making at least $2,000/month with your clients or students, it is NOT for you. But if you’re already there and want leverage, systems, and strategies to break through your sticking points — I'll be showing you how I did it and how you can 2X, 5X, even 10X your revenue.
