They worry about what to eat, what to wear, whom to talk to, what they aren't doing now but should be doing… It's exhausting. And not particularly helpful. But what can you do today to get out of your own head? I’d like to share a philosophy that’s helped change my perspective on tough challenges: Instead of focusing on reducing the bad, I like to increase the good. It’s like someone who wants to lose weight. The usual advice says, “Don’t eat that, or that, or that.” (Notice how negative it is. Plus people hate to be told to stop doing something.) My approach? “Forget about what not to eat. Start by eating THIS, and THIS, and THIS.” Don’t reduce the bad. Increase the good. I did the same with money. Notice that a lot of experts tell you to cut back. I encourage you to spend on lattes and even awesome luxury vacations. (And if you want to know how to earn more to pay for it, I’ll show you how. Keep reading.) Don’t just decrease the bad. Increase the good. This simple flip — of focusing on doing more of the positive, instead of reducing the negative — can completely change your life. It lets you get out of your head because you can stop worrying about all the things you might have done “wrong” … and direct your energy to the awesome, fun, amazing things you WANT to do. This is why I talk about Mental Mastery. About building up an amazing set of mental skills you can use to be mentally strong, to be resilient, and to have fun doing it. If you’re ever stuck in your head, I’d like you to [watch this video]() to see a specific example of how to get out — and switch your focus to Mental Mastery. [How to get out of your own head]() [Click here to learn how to get out of your own head]() How to focus on the RIGHT things The most successful people aren’t living in peaceful Zen gardens with no interruptions. Like all of us, they live MESSY lives with too many decisions, too many things to do, and too many places to be. Sure, you can learn a trick or a hack. Hey, maybe it will help. Maybe deep breathing every morning helps Tony Robbins perform at his best. Or maybe it’s his 30 years of working with people every single day and improving his craft, I dunno. Novices want hacks. Masters will take the hacks, sure, but they realize that all hacks eventually become outdated. But true mastery of the fundamentals never does. When you ask successful people how they juggle demanding careers, busy social schedules, family commitments, fitness, self-development, and downtime — and do it all without burning out or coming across as frenzied maniacs — what do they say? They don’t say, “It’s my morning routine,” or “It’s this secret coffee recipe.” No! They say, “I just do it.” That’s because they’ve absolutely mastered their fundamentals: Time, money, relationships, and most of all, their own Mental Mastery. They simply decide they’re going to do something, and they get it done. They don’t second guess, they don’t stress, they just do it. They aren’t stronger. They aren’t smarter. They aren’t more gifted. But they ARE in total control of their minds. They have a Mental Mastery that allows them to do what they need to do … what they want to do … without any of the hang-ups that would make other people get stuck. It’s not about finding a magic pill that can transport you instantly to your goals. It is about mastering and harnessing your mental powers to transform your life in the way YOU want. I call this [Mental Mastery](). I've been fascinated by this for years and secretly collect examples of people who have it. What do they do differently? And more importantly, how do they think differently — and why? Any time I met someone who seemed to be operating head-and-shoulders above everyone else, I peppered them with questions to verify what they did differently. Was it habits? Mental frameworks? Were they simply “gifted” from birth? Slowly, I built a map of this Mental Mastery. I wanted a blueprint to tap into this power source. I found that all winners had four core inner skills in common. Four deep differences that gave them an instant edge in business, work, even relationships. I tested each of these in my own life. I've shared some of them with my close friends and colleagues. The impact blew me away. And I want to give them to you. I’ve put everything I’ve learned into my [Mental Mastery]() program. [Mental Mastery]() These are the tools you need to crack the mental blocks that have been holding you back for years and replace them with the four core inner skills of winners.
