To view this email as a web page, [click here]() {NAME}, One of the most exciting things I've ever done is take a defensive driving class with my brother, Maneesh. My buddy who used to work at the Pentagon got me in. The class was taught by the former driving instructor for the Secret Service. Other people in the class: - Active-duty military guy
- Ex-military who now does private contracting
- Private driver for a hedge fund manager in the Midwest Then there was my brother and me. After introductions, one guy turned to us and said, âWhy are you here?â My reply: âI thought it would be cool!â [Ramit] Letâs ride So we were sitting in the classroom the first day with a picture of a car on the screen, and the instructor asked us, âAll right, you guys wanna go fast. How fast is fast?â A bunch of tough guys started shouting out numbers. â80 mph.â â125.â â200.â âAnd how fast do you think you could drive through those cones?â she asked, pointing out the window at the parking lot. âI dunno, probably 70 mph.â She just laughed. âOk, letâs see what happens.â We got out to the cars â we had a huge parking lot with retired police cars. First lesson: She told us itâs mathematically impossible to drive the cone course faster than 25 mph. Then she told us, âBy the end of this class youâll be doing it in reverse at 25.â âAnd other stuff a lot faster.â Oh shit! When we started, I was terrible. I knocked down almost every cone on the course. But slowly, I got the hang of it. And after two days, I did the entire course, including driving in reverse, spinning around to evade two chase cars, who were shooting paintballs at my car. BOOM! [Click to watch the video]()! [Gif] Donât try this at home, kids. How many of you LOVE learning new things? I know I do. I actually think a lot of IWT readers do. Whether you want to learn how to drive a stick shift, play the piano, salsa dance, speak Spanish, or program a computer â whatever â the truth is that you can learn any of those things today and have fun doing it. So Iâm curious: Whatâs one thing youâve wanted to learn but have always put off because you were busy ⦠or too embarrassed to admit you didnât know how to do it? I already told you mine. You can just reply to this email and let me know yours. I read every response. [Signature] WHAT TO DO NEXT Reply.
