In biographies, I skip their childhood. I just don't care, and I find that authors often try to manufacture significance. A friend was aghast. That's his favorite part. Which parts do you skip? Reply to this email and let me know. Tomorrow, Iâll share some of your responses, and we can all be aghast together. [] âIâm most grateful to have choicesâ One of the things I believe is that youâre in control of your life. This isnât a Disney movie. Nobodyâs coming to rescue you. Fortunately, you can take control of your finances and build your Rich Life. Thatâs why Iâm sharing this Rich Life story from Angela Peluso today. She figured out whatâs important to her. But she also spent YEARS working to attain it. "One of the lessons Iâve learned over the years is that my version of a Rich Life is having the freedom to choose. Choose where I live, how I spend my time, and who I want to share it with. So many people in this world, particularly women, donât have this luxury, and Iâm grateful Iâve spent my life creating this for myself. In my opinion, freedom of choice is now my currency for success. Granted, it took years of hard work, sacrifice, saving, and investing â and a series of smart decisions that paid off â but at 46, itâs so worth it." [Angela Peluso] â [Angela Peluso] You decide. Your Rich Life is yours. [] More Relationship Money Dials memories Today, I wanted to share more stories with you of how youâve turned the Relationship Money Dial all the way up. "My husband is a firefighter, and before he got hired (when we were still dating) he had to apply to over 20 departments and go through many testing and interview processes. It was grueling. He finally got a conditional offer from a department, but he had to drive 3 hours to the coast for the physical evaluation. I decided to go with him and make a little trip out of it. I found us a cute B&B to stay in, and just paid for it. We were both pretty broke at that time and dropping $200â300 on a one-night stay was a lot of money for us, but it was so worth it. Even though it was just a short trip, we still talk about how good it felt to get away for a little bit to relax and spend time together. Weâre actually planning to go back to that same spot for our 1 year anniversary this summer!" * * * "Most weeks when I go to the grocery store I try and keep the amount as low as possible, buying store brand, not getting snacks or prepared foods etc. For birthdays and holidays one of my favorite things is to pull out all the stops on the meals we make. I set a menu and go to as many stores as it takes to get it exactly the way I want. If I see something that looks fun to add while I'm at the fancy cheese shop I throw it in without looking at the price. It's almost thrilling to have a few days a year where I'm not hunting for bargains, get extravagant, and don't worry about the cost." If you havenât figured out your #1 Money Dial, [read this blog pos]()t to find out. Donât forget to do the challenge at the end of the post! [] âI donât have an idea for a businessâ Itâs still one of the most common objections I get: "How can I start a business if I don't have an idea?" I believe that we all have something special that weâre unusually good at. If you and I talked for 20 minutes, I know I could dig it up. Maybe you can teach dogs to do tricks. Maybe youâre an Excel whiz. Or maybe your friends always come to you for amazing relationship advice. When you say, âI donât have an idea,â thatâs really code for, âIâm waiting for a magical idea to fall down from the sky.â NEWS FLASH: THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN! Like a pig sniffing for truffles, ideas donât happen to you â you find them. In my program Earnable, I show you a systematic process to âexcavateâ your own skills, then âtestâ them for profitability.
