They don't live near Rachashei Lev, they don't even live in Israel. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ [Our Heroes]( Mr. Stephen and Mrs. Marnie Grossman do not live near Rachashei Lev, neither does Mr. David Farkash. They don't even live in Israel. But a few weeks ago, they visited Rachashei Lev at the Sheba Medical Center to donate together a new Sefer Torah dedicated to the children of Rachashei Lev. Dozens of cancer stricken children and many dignitaries attended the event in which the last letters of the Torah were completed. Among them were the Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Lau, Prof. Yitzchak Kreiss, CEO of Sheba Medical Center, Police commissioner Kobi Shabtai and many more. The participants danced with joy and happiness while at the same time, shed tears of prayer. [Torah]( Eight-year-old cancer patient Ayala, told Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai about her battle with cancer for the second time alongside her mother who also fought cancer. Shabtai hugged her and promised to dance with her again at her Bat Mitzvah. Rachashei Lev’s founder, Reuven Geshayed spoke with emotion: “This is undoubtedly a moment of power, holiness, prayer and hope that this Torah will be a blessing… that these children will recover with G-d’s help and be able to return home to their families and school and to the routine of life so they can fulfill their life’s dreams.” Rabbi Lau expressed his gratitude to Rachashei Lev for hosting his family during his wife’s lengthy hospitalization recently. Professor Yitzhak Kreiss blessed the children and praised the work of Rachashei Lev. He then received a tight hug from a child being treated in the oncology department. “Here at Rachashei Lev, every piece of my body has been moved and touched,” David Farkash expressed. The Torah will be taken out every Shabbat in the synagogue at the Rachashei Lev facilities. By the end of the event, Steve Grossman said in awe: “I walk out of here with my head held up high, and I will continue to do anything I possibly can to help this wonderful, wonderful facility”. Thank you to Steve and Marnie Grossman of Teaneck, New Jersey and David Farkash of Monsey, New York for reaching out across the world and making this incredible event possible.
