--------------------------------------------------------------- 4.17.2024 Hey Trader, Futures are up

--------------------------------------------------------------- 4.17.2024 Hey Trader, Futures are up across the board this morning as stocks look to rebound from what's been a tough start to the week. As interest rate fears linger, investors will try to instead focus on the incoming quarterly earnings reports. The S&P 500 will be especially interesting to watch as it tries to shed a three-day losing streak today. Of course, we're not immune to the pains of the broader market here at AlphaShark, but we do have the ability to look at trading through a different lens than most: Unusual Options Activity. The scanners, along with the help of my backtester, will continue to shape our trades.   Due to the nature of the RSI Oversold system, we will never have open positions... But we did have a losing trade yesterday in COIN. Hopefully, we can bounce back. After all, this has been a rather strong portfolio so far this year. Here are the results for the year: 33 Trades 24 Winners 9 Losers That gives us a solid win rate of 72.73%...   Still our best performing portfolio, the Weekly ATM Money Machine continues to produce. We currently have four open positions, and one that expires this week in PENN. RUN 4.26.2024 12-11 Put Spread PENN 4.19.2024 17-16 Put Spread FCX 4.26.2024 51-50 Put Spread SLB 4.26.2024 54-53 Put Spread PENN is looking like a winner right now, and our other three positions expire next week, so be on the lookout for any updates regarding these trades.   As for my Personal Portfolio, we now have four open positions: PENN 4.19.2024 17.5 Calls SLB 4.26.2024 57 Calls CPRI 5.17.2024 45-47.5 Call Spread RUN 4.26.2024 13.5 Calls I added some RUN Calls for $.05 yesterday, so hopefully we get a pop there. I'm still long PENN, SLB and CPRI, and my gut says to stay with them.   It's possible earnings season gives the market a push upward, because after the rally we saw early in the year, stocks have struggled, to put it kindly. As always, we'll keep fighting the good fight here at AlphaShark. In The Scanners We Trust. Have a great day.
