mlns='> Wonderful and weird works of content [View Message in Browser]( / [Add Us to Safe Sender List]( [Content Marketing Institute]( Daily News and Alert 3.13.23 Connect with CMI Hi there, Did you see the [Bad $#!T to Good $#!T]( video kicking off Miller Liteâs (kind of wonderful but slightly weird) Womenâs History Month initiative?
As the company explained in a [press release]( Miller Lite wants to âamend the industry's sexist history of beer marketingâ by collecting old ads and cardboard marketing displays (the bad $#!t) and composting them to create fertilizer (literal good $#!t). The fertilizer will go to women hops growers, and the hops they grow will go to women brewers to create more beer (figurative good $#!t). The company is also donating $60,000 to Pink Boots Society, a nonprofit supporting women and non-binary people in the alcoholic beverages industry. The wonderful: relevant cause, clever content, and meaningful action (just as [experts advise](. The weird: The brandâs Instagram and Twitter accounts say not a word about the initiative. Why so silent? And the company says itâs âcommitted to the missionâ of turning bad $#! into good, so why is it only collecting ads through the end of the month? Though the ideaâs great, the execution could be more fulfilling. Speaking of weird, take a look at the [Awkward Oscars Coloring Book]( from Ceros, a collection of what the description calls âOscarâs strangest and most cringe-worthy moments.â Itâs certainly interactive and well-timed with the Oscars broadcast. But something about drawings of Will Smith hitting Chris Rock, Jennifer Lawrence tripping over her dress, and other moments represented feels a bit strange and cringe-worthy, too. [LMK what you think]( of these content pieces. In the meantime, here are a few things to make your week more wonderful than weird. Â Kim Moutsos
