While some other critics found it dull, I was gripped by hearing the tale of Coleen’s infamous Instagram sting operation against “.......... Rebekah Vardy’s account” (and subsequent multi-million pound libel trial) from the detective herself. Now that the circus around the case has died down, [the documentary](~/AAAHagA~/RgRnFfwtP0SGaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuaW5kZXBlbmRlbnQuY28udWsvYXJ0cy1lbnRlcnRhaW5tZW50L3R2L3Jldmlld3MvY29sZWVuLXJvb25leS10aGUtcmVhbC13YWdhdGhhLXN0b3J5LWRpc25leS1iMjQzMTEzNy5odG1sP2xpZD1wenh6cXV4b20xbGlXBXNwY2V1QgplLS13M2WvydwsUht0cmlzdHJhbWJhbGR3aW45MEBnbWFpbC5jb21YBAAAAyM~) made it easier to hear the human element at its heart: a woman who, amid difficult personal turmoil, is exhausted and disturbed by the fact her private pictures keep ending up in a newspaper. Netflix’s Beckham doc was fun, but Wagatha felt less like a shiny brand operation, more direct and down to earth. And I fully support [Wayne’s dream to go to law school](~/AAAHagA~/RgRnFfwtP0SBaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuaW5kZXBlbmRlbnQuY28udWsvYXJ0cy1lbnRlcnRhaW5tZW50L3R2L25ld3MvY29sZWVuLXdhZ2F0aGEtc3RvcnktZGlzbmV5LXJlYmVrYWgtdmFyZHktYjI0MjkzMzYuaHRtbD9saWQ9bDhuNGJ4Z3h6MTJwVwVzcGNldUIKZS0tdzNlr8ncLFIbdHJpc3RyYW1iYWxkd2luOTBAZ21haWwuY29tWAQAAAMj), after being swept up in the case himself. ~/AAAHagA~/RgRnFfwtP0RAaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuaW5kZXBlbmRlbnQuY28udWsvdG9waWMvYmlnLWJyb3RoZXI_bGlkPXY5bjBlcGh1cmdkZlcFc3BjZXVCCmUtLXczZa_J3CxSG3RyaXN0cmFtYmFsZHdpbjkwQGdtYWlsLmNvbVgEAAADIw~~ Coleen Rooney speaks out about the 'Wagatha' case (Disney) I’ve been moaning about the running time of Martin Scorsese’s new film, Killers of the Flower Moon – it’s a hefty three hours and 26 minutes. What do you think – should films be shorter, or do we just need to work on our concentration spans? Ghosts are a part of ordinary life here, a way of coping with grief in a world where plague and illness are constant visitors. And if Hamnet’s first act periodically descends into romanticised Tudor twee, its second act is utterly heartbreaking as it captures the emotional intensity of a whole family battling the horrors of death as one, an endless fire burning to smoke out the sickness. Hale, who mistakes power for wisdom, claims fate has determined that the Osage Nation’s time has come to an end. “This wealth will run dry,” he tells Ernest. “They’re a big-hearted people, but sickly.” Clarisse Loughrey | Chief film critic   Dance | [Black Sabbath – the Ballet](~/AAAHagA~/RgRnFfwtP0SSaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuaW5kZXBlbmRlbnQuY28udWsvYXJ0cy1lbnRlcnRhaW5tZW50L3RoZWF0cmUtZGFuY2UvcmV2aWV3cy9zb25nLW9mLXNvbmdzLXJldmlldy1wYW0tdGFub3dpdHotZGF2aWQtbGFuZy1iMjQyODQ0Ni5odG1sP2xpZD0zZ2RrdGRkY2tsbDBXBXNwY2V1QgplLS13M2WvydwsUht0cmlzdHJhbWJhbGR3aW45MEBnbWFpbC5jb21YBAAAAyM~) There’s an irresistible oomph to [Birmingham Royal Ballet](~/AAAHagA~/RgRnFfwtP0RMaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuaW5kZXBlbmRlbnQuY28udWsvdG9waWMvYmlybWluZ2hhbS1yb3lhbC1iYWxsZXQ_bGlkPWRza2hsaXJiZTYybVcFc3BjZXVCCmUtLXczZa_J3CxSG3RyaXN0cmFtYmFsZHdpbjkwQGdtYWlsLmNvbVgEAAADIw~~)’s celebration of [Black Sabbath](~/AAAHagA~/RgRnFfwtP0RCaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuaW5kZXBlbmRlbnQuY28udWsvdG9waWMvYmxhY2stc2FiYmF0aD9saWQ9cXVjOXZtcnB1Y2E1VwVzcGNldUIKZS0tdzNlr8ncLFIbdHJpc3RyYW1iYWxkd2luOTBAZ21haWwuY29tWAQAAAMj). They may have spent their recent era breaking their own box office records on a series of global excursions, but the rest of the 18 years since their last studio album of new songs, 2005’s A Bigger Bang, had been characterised by drift and delay. Richards, beaming and chortling at the end of a Zoom connection, is happy to apportion praise. “I’ve got to give Mick hats off for this push,” he tells me. “He said ‘Come on, we’ve just got to do something. Doesn’t matter what we do, we’ve got to make a record.’ I said ‘Ok, let’s not pussyfoot about.
