Who does that?â These are just some of the questions I asked myself this week as I watched [Harry and Meghanâs Netflix documentary](, which arrived low on revelations but high on intimate phone camera footage. Iâm not sure it will bring down the kingdom â next weekâs instalment may be more explosive â but there are [many moments]( Iâm struggling to get out of my head. Such as the fact that apparently everyone wore animal onesies to Haz and Megâs engagement party; the royal couple were both penguins, as apparently they mate for life. It was all [wildly entertaining](. I have actually become completely addicted to The Traitors, which is not what the Daily Mail are calling the Harry and Meghan documentary, but BBCâs new wink wink murder gameshow. Please send me your predictions as I must talk about this show to everyone. Weâve also been [sharing our theories](ahead of The White Lotus finale on Monday â who is dead, and who did it? There are some very intriguing possibilities. Although I think Olivia Petter may have nailed Mike White's real culprit: [masculinity](. This has also been a packed week of theatre openings â and the shows have been a real mixed bag. In tomorrowâs Week on Stage column, we have a one, two, three and four star review. We didnât manage the full spectrum, but [I did award five stars]( to Channel 4âs agonising I Am Ruth, starring Kate Winslet and her real-life daughter Mia Threapleton. Stay warm (and send me your White Lotus theories), Jessie [@jessiecath]( One of the many candid snaps that features in 'Harry and Meghan' (Netflix) This week I loved: Ellie Harrisonâs [moving interview with Emancipation director Antoine Fuqua](. Mark Hudsonâs [verdict on the 2022 Turner Prize winner](. Kate Rosseinskyâs [deep dive on spies and Kim Philby](. Louis Chilton on [Hollywoodâs dirty secret](. Tom Murrayâs[encounter with Brandon Perea](, who was the best thing in Nope. And⦠my Christmas catch-up viewing is sorted, thanks to Clarisse Loughreyâs [films of the year.]( ONE TO WATCH: A SPY AMONG FRIENDS (STREAM FREE EXCLUSIVELY ON ITVX) [Starring Guy Pearce and Damian Lewis, this compelling psychological drama is based on the true story of the very personal betrayal at the heart of the Cambridge Spy Ring scandal.]( [The Saturday Interview â Brian Tyree Henry]( [Oscars image]( Brian Tyree Henry stars in 'Causeway' (Irvin Rivera) Brian Tyree Henry is tipped for an Oscar nomination for his performance in Causeway, in which he appears alongside Jennifer Lawrence. The star of Atlanta, Eternals and If Beale Street Could Talk [spoke to Adam White](about grief, the power of silence, and why he sometimes ends up googling things late at night. [Oscars image]( Jennifer Lawrence and Brian Tyree Henry in 'Causeway' (Apple TV) Read an extract from our Saturday Interview below⦠Henry was, career-wise, a late bloomer. There were Shakespeare productions and off-Broadway plays, but he was 29 when he got his big break, playing The General in the original 2011 run of The Book of Mormon. Lots of episodic television followed in shows such as How to Get Away with Murder and This Is Us, the latter of which earned him an Emmy nomination. Atlanta, which launched in 2016 and concluded in the US last month, turned him into a star. There have been plenty of films, too, in recent years. Thatâs him threatening Viola Davisâs dog as an ambitious politician in Widows. Heâs there in Chloé Zhaoâs polarising Marvel entry Eternals, making history as the MCUâs first gay superhero. And, yes, thatâs his voice as Miles Moralesâs dad in the animated caper Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. That said, he doesnât think he was at ease with his success until recently. âYou can be seen by millions of people and still feel overlooked,â he says. âYou can still feel invisible. I think I never felt truly seen until a few months ago, and that was when I stopped worrying about how people see me. Itâs really easy, especially in this industry, to give a f*** about what everyone thinks about you. But that s*** is just not true. I tried a long time to live by that kind of declaration, but it was only the beginning of this year when it actually happened. I donât know what changed. I just remember becoming completely unburdened by what everyone else thought of me and how they viewed me.â [Read the full interview here]( Enjoying this newsletter? What to watch this weekend [I Am Ruth]( Thanks Kate Winslet, you broke me. This feature-length drama about a mother watching her teenage daughter become consumed by social media is extraordinary, and a must-watch. [Read my review here](.
