First Aid Kit's Johanna and Klara Soderberg “Hoping? I’m going to plead with the guy,” said Cumberbatch when our writer James Mottram asked if he hoped Joe Biden would close the barbaric detention centre. “It’s an atrocious own goal, I think, for the free world to be incarcerating people through extraordinary rendition, torturing them and extracting confessions they think are then usable in prosecution… it is a really dangerous, unnecessary and ineffectual place, I think, and enough people have suffered there.” Tell us what you're really thinking, Benedict. On the subject of The Mauritanian, [check out my interview with its star, The Serpent's Tahar Rahim if you missed it in the run up to Easter.]( On Friday, Taylor Swift dropped her new album, which is actually quite an old album, re-recorded for very complicated but important reasons [that you can read about in my review here.]( As always, keep scrolling for the weekly binge recommendation and our reviews of the week – and be sure to check out our [Saturday Interview]( with Carey Mulligan and Emerald Fennell, star and director of Promising Young Woman. Carey Mulligan, Emerald Fennell, Laverne Cox and Bo Burnham on the set of Promising Young Woman [Louis Theroux]( If you've already watched Theroux's latest documentary, Shooting Joe Exotic, in which he revisits his experience with the now-imprisoned Tiger King star, then now's the perfect time to binge his extensive and impressive back-catalogue, [all of which is on BBC iPlayer.]( Film of the week – [Sound of Metal]( A film of great beauty and great purpose, this Oscar-nominated drama is a triumphant rebuttal to films that represent disability as tales of quaint tragedy and saintly patience.
