It’s Pride Month, {NAME}, and the Colorado GOP wants you to know exactly where they stand. Hi.

It’s Pride Month, {NAME}, and the Colorado GOP wants you to know exactly where they stand. Hi. 👋 Samantha Boucher here, Ike’s Deputy CM. Buckle up, because this is quite a ride. This is a fundraising email the party put out a few days ago: [A screenshot of an email from the Colorado GOP featuring a YouTube video with a demonic looking Jesus against a Pride flag with the slogan “God Hates Flags” and a YouTube button.]( “God Hates Flags” is a not so subtle (and not particularly clever) spin on the infamous anti-gay slur used by the Westboro Baptist Church for decades. The same day this email went out, the party’s official X/Twitter account posted this: [A screenshot of a Tweet by the Colorado GOP which reads: “Burn all the #pride flags this June.” with an animated GIF of a pixelated flame.]( The casual use of violent rhetoric is disturbing enough, but when you look at the root of what they’re saying – the idea that “God hates” period – it’s a much darker message. And the message is that the Colorado Republican Party has been fully engulfed by the ultra-right-wing, Christian Nationalist, MAGA ideology of party chair Dave Williams. This is Lauren Boebert’s base, and the voters of Colorado – Democrat AND Republican – want nothing to do with it. That’s why Boebert nearly lost her seat in CO-03 in 2022. That’s why Boebert carpetbagged her way into CO-04 looking for an easy win in a redder district. And that’s why Ike is polling 14 points ahead of Boebert, with growing support from traditional Republican voters. The MAGA wing of the Colorado GOP knows that their last hold in Congress is going the way of their control of the state legislature, so they're drumming up hate and casting a shadow of fear over our state’s LGBTQ+ community as a way to try to frighten and activate their base. As a trans person, this hateful rhetoric directly affects the safety and security of me and my family. We must oppose it with every fiber of our being. [This pride month, help Ike and our team chase extremists who spout this type of hateful rhetoric out of Colorado for good and make the state safe for LGBTQ+ people like myself.]( [Help Ike Fight]( PROUD to be on Team Ike, Samantha Boucher Deputy Campaign Manager Ike For Colorado Ike McCorkle Ike McCorkle is a Purple Heart recipient and Marine Force Recon Veteran polling 7 points ahead of Lauren Boebert and running to flip Colorado's 4th Congressional District. Ike will fight for working class families and to restore the people's trust in American government and leadership.
