SpaceX To Launch 2 Satellites
Elon Musk’s commercial spaceflight company will launch a Falcon 9 rocket Wednesday morning, in a bid to put two commercial communications satellites into orbit. The company will be hoping to pull off its fifth successful landing of the first stage of the rocket on an ocean barge – a technique, which, if mastered, could seriously reduce the costs associated with spaceflight.
Tensions Threaten EU-Turkey Migration Deal
The EU’s top envoy to Turkey announced his resignation this week, the latest example of increasingly strained relations between the bloc and Ankara that are casting doubts over the future of a deal to curb Europe’s migration crisis. The European Commission on Wednesday will release its second report into the implementation of the deal, which Turkey will expect to show progress on implementing visa-free travel for its citizens, despite the policy becoming increasingly unpopular with EU citizens.
