Orlando Victims Remembered, Gun Control Raised

Pistorius Faces Murder Sentencing
A sentencing hearing for South African Olympian Oscar Pistorius, who was convicted of his girlfriend's murder, begins in Pretoria on Monday. Pistorius faces up to a 15-year jail sentence, but may get a reduced term for time already spent in custody and good behavior. The athlete was originally convicted on manslaughter, but his conviction was increased to murder after an appeal from the prosecution. His sentence is expected to be handed down later this week, and he will have no chance to appeal.
Russia, England Threatened With Euro Disqualification
After the weekend saw repeated violent clashes between fans and police at the European soccer Championships, governing body UEFA has threatened to disqualify the Russian and English teams from the tournament if their fans are involved in any more violence. In response to the incidents, French authorities are urging host cities to ban the sale of alcohol in and around fan zones and match venues.

Over 5,000 people have been detained in a massive nationwide security operation in Bangladesh, as police seek to combat increasing attacks on religious minorities and secular activists. The crackdown comes after at least 18 people, including atheist bloggers and foreign aid workers, have been killed in extremist attacks over the past two years.
Walgreens Terminates Relationship With Theranos
The nation's largest drugstore chain announced late Sunday that it was cutting its ties to the embattled blood testing tech firm. The move will come as a major blow to Theranos, as the 40 blood testing sites in Walgreens stores were its primary source of revenue. Regulators are weighing whether to impose sanctions on the company, after the results of thousands of blood tests it conducted were voided over accuracy fears.
