[View online]( / [ICS2 becomes mandatory on 1 July 2023]( Dear {NAME}, Did you know ICS2 becomes mandatory on 1 July 2023? The European Union has introduced a new regulation mandating Customs Pre-Loading and Pre-Arrival safety and security information. [IAG Cargo]( group airlines will fulfil our legal obligations to ICS2 from 1 July 2023. Import Control System 2 (ICS2) includes all 27 EU member states, as well as Northern Ireland, Norway and Switzerland. ICS2 allows the monitoring of the safety and security of the EU’s external borders and applies to all cargo, mail and courier entering or transiting these countries. For example, JFK-DUB & HKG-LHR-MAD-UIO. What are the impacts of ICS2 for carriers, forwarders and courier companies? [IAG Cargo]( requires new data elements in the FHL/FWB to fulfil its carrier obligations under ICS2 for pre-loading advanced cargo information (PLACI) and pre-arrival advanced cargo info (ACI). These extra elements include the first six digits of the Harmonised System code (HS) and the Economic Operators Registration Identification (EORI number), or the tax or Customs registration number of the consignee at destination of the goods if outside the EU. Important action required, here's what you need to do: Please check you have got the correct EORI and HS code in your FHL/FWB before you send it to IAG Cargo carriers. If you do not provide these mandatory data elements and acceptable descriptions of the commodities, your shipment may be rejected, delayed or incur additional charges. For your information, our carrier EORI codes are: BA: ESW0061040B EI: IE9L40507W IB: ESA85850394 We're here to support you, so please do get in touch for further information: [ICS2@iagcargo.com](mailto:ICS2@iagcargo.com?subject=ICS2%20Query).
