Ă°ÂÂÂThe Acura Integra Type S Is the Tuner Culture's Car, Matured TLDR: For our latest Test Drive review, we took the Acura Integra Type S to its origins â Las Vegasâ annual haven for tuners and racers, SEMA.â It was the perfect car for the drive, but not the perfect car by any means. Why It Matters: Acura rolled out the Integra Type S earlier this year to mixed reviews, most saying itâs too little too late, or blasphemous to add two additional doors â the Integra name has always been a coupe. Others were iffy about it, drawing too close of a comparison to the car to which itâs based: the Honda Civic Type R FL5. ð° 1988 Porsche 959 "Komfort" Sells For Over $1.7M USD at RM Sotheby's Vegas Auction TLDR: Results are in from RM Sothebyâs recent Las Vegas auction, among is the sale of a 1988 Porsche 959 âKomfort,â which realized $1,765,000 USD at the close.â Why It Matters: The Porsche 959 was heralded as a technological marvel, with features that were advanced for the time: its all-wheel-drive system, adjustable suspension and monstrous power. The model was also sold as a "Komfort" trim, that included a full-leather interior as well as air conditioning, while maintaining the 959's 444 horsepower and 2.85L twin-turbo flat-six. â The 1988 Porsche 959 Komfort has 23,399 kilometers â 14,540 miles approximated â and is in fantastic condition, with some patina and signs of age that shows the car has actually spent some time on the streets. This auctioned example is purportedly one of only 31 examples painted in Graphite Metallic, and out of 292 production homologated units ever produced.
