ð¦ Cabot Cape Breton Is Golf in Its Purest Form TLDR: For the first edition of our new travel series, we traveled to Nova Scotia to stay at Cabot Cape Breton, which has two world renowned golf courses plus first in class accommodations. Why It Matters: To someone from Nova Scotia, the name Cabot (which comes from an 18th century explorer) is associated with the area around Cape Breton. To a golfer though, Cabot is nothing short of the pinnacle in golf hospitality. ð Jain Golf Drops Its First Essentials Line TLDR: Jain Golf, the brand based around a golf ball mascot named Jain, just released its most comprehensive apparel collection yet called JAINCORE. Why It Matters: Thus far, Jain Golf has resisted the temptation to release a traditional collection, instead opting for small releases of coffee table books, golf bags and even baby clothes. So Walker Golf Things is hoping to remove that choice altogether with this new collection. Read the full article [here](. ---------------------------------------------------------------
ð What is Cabretta Leather, and Why Is It Used In Golf Gloves? TLDR: The first in a mini series about technical and premium materials that are omnipresent in the golf space. We start with cabretta leather, which is leather made from hair sheep. Why It Matters: Cabretta leather is commonly accepted as the go-to premium material for golf gloves, but not too many people understand why. In essence, it can be boiled down to three things. First is feel, cabretta is both thin and durable, allowing for a better connection between the hands and club. Second is texture, cabretta just looks luxurious and shiny to the eye due to its close fibers. And finally, it's very easy to dye, so it can be easily branded.
