[Hypebeast] August 14, 2024 Weekly Digest 🤔 Is Tyler, the Creator Collaborating With Supreme? TLDR: Ahead of the release of its Fall/Winter 2024 collection, Supreme began fueling fan fever on Tuesday with a new set of wheatpastings starring Tyler, the Creator. Why It Matters: Spotted around Brick Lane in London, the images saw the Call Me If You Get Lost artist posing in a green box logo T-shirt, hiding a signature colorful scarf around his neck and accessorized with a brown top-tied hat. Shortly after fans spotted the wheatpastings, Supreme took to its Instagram to share the photos in high resolution, revealing that they were shot by photographer Luis Perez, who previously shot the campaign for Tyler’s Louis Vuitton collaboration. It’s unclear whether Tyler is partnering with the streetwear stalwart to design parts of the forthcoming collection or if he’s merely the star of the brand’s FW24 campaign, but many would argue that a collaboration between Supreme and the rapper is long overdue. Why It Matters: Whether they are aware of this or not, the Danes operate with a general nonchalantness that perhaps stems from Janteloven, or the Law of Jante — a Scandinavian code of conduct that discourages standing out, in favor of collective accomplishments and well-being. From Hay to Tekla, NN.07 to Audo Copenhagen, Janteloven begins to make sense when observing the minimal silhouettes, tailoring and sensibilities that have come to define Danish design and fashion. Arguably no period in the calendar year does this become more present than during Copenhagen Fashion Week (CPHFW). Operating in January and in August, CPHFW has quickly ascended as the chill alternative to its busy counterparts in London, Paris and New York. Now, there’s more upcoming Scott-designed Air Jordan 1 Low OGs on the way than ever before. Why It Matters: Now, the list is expanding as EldenMonitors and House of Heat have reported that a new fragment design x Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG is coming next year. The trio assembled in 2021 to outfit the high and low-top versions of the AJ1, resulting in overwhelming demand for both. Since then, two different unreleased AJ1 Low OG samples surfaced in 2022 and 2024 respectively. While this rumored release’s color blocking has not been confirmed just yet, we know that it will include “Sail,” “Black,” “Muslin” and “Military Blue” coloring. At the time of writing, neither fragment design, Travis Scott nor Jordan Brand have discussed the possibility of the trio returning to the Air Jordan 1 Low OG together for 2025. Why It Matters: Joining forces for the first time, Palace and Berghaus have assembled a range of ’90s-inspired styles that are led by Berghaus’ Tempest jacket outfitted in color options of “Acid Yellow,” “Cobalt Blue” and “Black.” Co-branding is scattered throughout the outerwear and also makes its way onto the two-tone fleece zip-up jackets, sporting “Grey/Purple,” “Petrol/Purple” and “Black.” A graphic tee has also been prepared in three different color options and is joined by two ear warmer caps to complete the cozy range.
