ï¸Âð Sentinel Golf: If the Term "Subtle Flex" Were a Brand TLDR: Sentinel Golf, a boutique brand self described as a "product design lab," has scoured the globe making every conceivable golf accessory with rare textiles and small manufacturers across the globe. â And the most impressive part is that founder John Mooty does it all by himself. What drives him to run a brand on his own? Well, when your line of work lends itself to interpersonal relationships that tends to lighten the load.â Why It Matters: Although Sentinelâs rangefinder cases have become a part of the modern golfer starter pack, Mooty resists the idea that his brand can be defined by one single item. Rather, itâs a borderline obsessive attention to detail and âless is moreâ attitude that can be seen across all of Sentinelâs offerings that make the brand stand out from the rest.â Read the full interview now exclusively on Hypegolf Instagram.â Check it out [here](. ---------------------------------------------------------------
ð¡ Golf In Wine Country at Cabot's Newest Upscale Property TLDR: The Cabot Collection, a lineup of high end golf courses and destinations, may have started in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, but the developers have since expanded their reach to Florida, the Highlands of Scotland and even the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia. Cabotâs newest property sees it expanding into continental Europe for the first time.â Why It Matters: Formerly known as Golf du Medoc Resort, Cabot Bordeaux is located in the heart of French wine country and includes two 18 courses, one designed by Bill Coore and the other by Rod Whitman. But while past Cabot acquisitions have included extensive renovations like at Citrus Farms where a number of trees were removed and bunkers were added, Bordeaux is more or less turnkey. Thatâs a testament to Cabot founder Ben Cowan-Dewarâs respect for Coore and Whitmanâs designs.â â â Read the full article [here](. ---------------------------------------------------------------
ðÂŒž PXG Debuts New Lineup of 0311 GEN7 and Black Ops Irons TLDR: 11 years later PXG continues the legacy of the original 0311 irons with the 0311 GEN7 as well as an ultra game improvement set that gets its name from the brandâs most recent woods and driver release: Black Ops.â Why It Matters: In a sea of thin face, hollow-body irons the new 0311 GEN7 has the thinnest face of all, .050 inches to be exact. That feature is only made possible by the proprietary QuantumCOR injection, a strong yet lightweight polymer that allows weight to be redistributed low and around the perimeter of the club, thus making it easier to hit. The Black Ops irons offer a lot of the same benefits of the 0311âs â easy to hit, launch high and straight â but ramped up to another level. Thatâs why PXG Senior Director of Irons R&D Mike Nicolette is calling them âour first true game-improvement iron.ââ â Read the full article [here](. ---------------------------------------------------------------
ðÂÂŤÂĄ Topgolf Debuts Easy to Hit Sure Thing Club TLDR: Golf entertainment venue Topgolf has a trick up its sleeve, one that promises to make the game more accessible, enjoyable and feasible for players whoâve never stepped foot on the course. Itâs dubbed The Sure Thing, a not-so-ordinary driver outfitted with âthe biggest club face youâve ever seen." The catch? It's only available at Topgolf locations, and it's non-conforming for competition.â Why It Matters: Golf is undoubtedly an expensive sport; itâs also fairly difficult to master. Between the gear, fashion and exclusive country club memberships, golf is intimidating to start, even at leisure. At Topgolf, the price of entry into golf is enthusiasm, and first-time players are encouraged to learn the basics â drink in hand. Fun is to be had, and with the launch of The Sure Thing club, Topgolf demands it. â Read the full article [here](. ---------------------------------------------------------------
ðÂÂÂ︠A Day Out at Bethpage With J.Lindeberg TLDR: Last week Hypegolf joined the J.Lindeberg community at Bethpage Black for a golf outing celebrating the first round at the Paris 2024 Olympics. The Swedish label is the exclusive sponsor of the USA men's and women's Olympic golf teams, and just last weekend Scottie Scheffler took the gold medal clad in JL's geometric, red, white and blue threads.â Why It Matters: Players at Bethpage Black wore the labelâs USA Golf Collection which blends technical features and designs championing Team USAâs national colors. Former New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz and his daughter Kennedy Cruz joined in on the fun, as well as former Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia, mixed martial artist Khalil Rountree, model and amateur golfer Mia Kang and others.
