Our latest undercover investigation reveals the continued misery and horror behind puppy mills and the pet stores that sell puppies from them. [The Humane Society of the United States]() [A small dog with cherry eye in a cage]( {NAME}, In our latest undercover investigation, we once again expose the cruelty behind Petland and its pro-puppy mill practices. During our most recent undercover investigation at a Petland store in Novi, Michigan, our hidden camera captured sick puppies, questionable veterinary care and unsafe conditions. One poor puppy was suffering from cherry eye, an ailment that requires surgical correction, while others had open wounds or bloody stools. Several dogs with birth defects were sent back to the breeders, to an unknown fate, instead of being treated. [Please help us put an end to the cruelty that Petland continues to perpetuate and profit from!]( Aside from many health issues and concerns, the investigator witnessed dangerous safety issues, such as some dogs falling out of triple-stacked cages and hitting a hard floor. Once, a kennel worker cursed loudly at a puppy when he was shrieking because his paw got slammed in a door. No animal deserves to be treated this way. [Will you take action today for these poor dogs as well as the others stuck in this vicious pipeline?]( [Take Action]( Photo by the HSUS [Facebook]( [Twitter]( [Instagram]( [YouTube]( [text]( [View in browser]( [Donate today to stand up for animals who need you.]( © 2023 [The Humane Society of the United States]() [1255 23rd St. NW, Suite 450, Washington, DC 20037]() donorcare@humanesociety.org | [202-452-1100](tel:202-452-1100) This message was sent to [{EMAIL}](mailto:).
