Someone said they heard an animal crying outside their neighbor’s home. Deputies discovered a 6-month-old, 75-pound tiger in a cage, wearing a leash and a harness. Deputies seized the tiger under a county law that makes owning big cats a misdemeanor. They named her Elsa, after the character in Disney’s Frozen films. Because of a new federal law that your support helped to enact, buying a big cat to keep as a private pet is now illegal across the country. [Now, Elsa is a confident juvenile who’s growing into her three-quarter-of-an-acre adult yard, with trees, a climbing platform, a waterfall and a pool.]( [A happy beagle puppy]( [Win! Illinois bans unnecessary toxicity tests on dogs and cats]( Dogs and cats in Illinois laboratories will be saved from painful and outdated toxicity testing thanks to a first-of-its-kind law signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker. [A person getting care for their dog]( [Justice for people and pets]( Since 2011, Pets for Life has bridged the gap between pet care and the animals who need it. The program provides medical care, spay/neuter services, grooming, training, supplies and more at no cost to people and pets in underserved communities.
