We thought you might want to know how the cats we rescued from the large-scale, alleged cruelty case were doing. [The Humane Society of the United States]() [Toby the cat before and after]( {NAME}, Our Animal Rescue Team successfully removed 176 cats from a deplorable situation on three properties in Mississippi. The conditions were awful. Cats living in their own filth. Ammonia heavy in the air. Caged cats with no access to food or water. It was bad. But now, they are receiving the love and medical care they deserve. The nightmare is now behind them and they can look forward to new, safe and loving homes. One special story, among these many stories, is Toby’s. Out of these many cats, Toby was one identified as needing urgent veterinary care. Poor Toby was emaciated, dehydrated, matted and had digestive issues. Despite having to be handled quite extensively to get this care, he remained calm and well-behaved the whole time. [To see more of Toby, check out our latest video!]( We’re so excited for these cats to start their new lives after suffering so immensely. This work would not be possible without the help of our passionate supporters.
