Violet's lifesaving transformation was possible because animal lovers like you answered the call for help. [You can save and protect even more animals like Violet today»]( [HSUS logo]( [See Violet now]( “Where are they? Please tell me we’re not too late.” My thoughts were racing as the Animal Rescue Team and I scoured a Louisiana property looking for the animals we were there to save ... and then we found Violet. She was discovered behind the residence in a makeshift tent, frozen with fear. Of the dogs living outside, Violet was the last survivor. Her body was completely covered in scabs and her skin was cracking and bleeding. I’ve seen a lot of suffering in my career and Violet’s condition was about the worst I had ever witnessed. While she was initially very timid, Violet quickly warmed up once [she understood that we were there to help her](. After months of intensive care provided by our partners at the Louisiana SPCA, she has healed and is now living in a wonderful home. She loves to eat and spend her days sitting on the porch watching the neighborhood happenings. Violet's rescue and transformation are the direct result of compassionate people like you who do all you can to save desperate animals from a lifetime of misery. [Will you be a hero to animals just like Violet?]( With your monthly gift, you'll protect animals suffering in factory farms, research labs, puppy mills and other inhumane situations all year long. [Yes I want to help]( Thank you so much for allowing our lifesaving work to continue.
