It was registered in March 2019, and I bought it second hand in April 2021. A few months ago, the car cut out and a fault came up "Oil Pressure Fault" (it cut out on a motorway). It has since been diagnosed that the cambelt has deteriorated. Citroen has refused to contribute as apparently the car does not meet their criteria (as has done over 60,000 miles) - even though they acknowledged this as a common fault with this car. Where do we stand legally on this issue? Should I inflate the tyres more to avoid this?]( Posted by on 28 November, 2023 I have a Toyota Yaris Cross and recently the in-car tyre pressure readout keeps showing a number of tyres as being below the required pressure. However, after driving the car for a while, the tyre pressure warning light disappears indicating that, once warmed up, the tyres are indeed within the correct pressure range. Should I inflate the tyres to slightly above the recommended levels to avoid the warning light or is it best to maintain the pressures at the handbook stated levels? The problem I foresee is that, if I do have a tyre that is truly losing pressure, I may ignore it due to the initial readings. There are double white lines in the centre of the road. There are lots of cyclists on the road, mostly in groups and commonly at weekends. Given that I need to keep 2 metres away from cyclists, technically, I cannot overtake them because of the double white lines. As one would expect, obeying the law, long queues grow. Some people do overtake cyclists and cross the double white lines. So, if the road ahead is clear and I were to be caught crossing the white lines by a policeman, would they book me or hopefully use some common sense and not bother.
