I bought it a week ago as one owner with15,000 miles, supplied by the dealer and serviced by them from new. The dealer confirmed via text it was a clean car, no accidents or marks on the body work. The day of viewing the same was confirmed and on inspections there was nothing obvious but it was covered in the usual dealer magic shine selling products. On returning home I washed the car to remove the magic shine products to see if there were any hidden issues and noted several that concern me. It is evident at least two panels on the drivers side have been re-painted as there is overspray on the plastic trims and the wing mirror has been poorly repaired. The front wheel on this side of the car has also been painted but this doesn't match the other 3 wheels. The tailgate has been re-painted poorly in two places with overspray on the light clusters and I'm not convinced its the original tailgate, as it has a badge from a different model. Am I within my rights to reject this vehicle as I've not been informed that the car has suffered damage and been re-painted. I find it hard to believe as they have supplied and maintained this car from new, that they wouldn't have known about these issues. As the vehicle was under £10,000 if they do not cooperate, is the small claims court the best option? It must be diesel, leather seats and ideally manual gearbox. I am large so in cars with a high console I feel a bit boxed in and the sides of the seat and back rest seem to have this ridge that I find very uncomfortable. I have sat in a Peugeot 5008 and Citroen C5 Aircross but don't find them comfortable. The Nissan Qashqai is more comfortable but a little bit pressed for space. Any suggestions? I am really struggling. [Read more â]( [What car has the most comfortable seats and coldest air con?]( Posted by on 19 April, 2023 What car on sale has the most comfortable seats and coldest air con? I have recently purchased a Nissan Qashqai which is listed at over £41,000. Through a good car buying service I managed to reduce this to around £35,000. According to your answer I could pay less tax as I have a receipt for the amount I paid. The log book however states that as the list price is over £40,000 I am eligible to pay the extra amount? It has a timing chain which needs no maintenance or replacement apart from regular engine oil changes. Many of the cars I am considering have engines with timing belts which need replacing every five years or 50,000 miles if you want to be sure to avoid them snapping and potentially destroying the engine. My question is why do manufacturers design engines with belts rather than chains? It seems to me that chains are far safer, practical and result in less expensive maintenance. Are there advantages to timing belts that I am unaware of? The dealer gave me a three year warranty and a fresh MoT (No advisories) A few weeks later, a tyre pressure sensor fault code popped up, I had also started noticing drips of oil on my driveway. I took the car in and told the service department about both these issues. They told me that the mechanic forgot to reset the tyre pressure sensor but they couldn't find any leaks. Now there is pretty big leak with a very noticeable stain on my driveaway and the rear underside tray under the spare wheel is completely soaked/stained. I took the car back in and they're saying that it will cost me out of my own pocket for this oil leak as It's not a mechanical/electrical failure, they're telling me that only mechanical/electrical failures are covered under warranty. Is there anything I can do to fight this?
