Very fortunately I was not going fast having just turned in to the road and the young girl has not been injured. She admitted she tried to run across the road without looking. I have notified the police and my insurer, but have had not response from either. My car is a brand new Porsche and has sustained some damage to the wing, bonnet and light scratches to the paint work. It will go in to body repair shop for a full assessment next week. I do not really want to claim for the repair costs from my insurer and the girl's parents have indicated that they have no spare money to pay me for the repair costs. [Read more →]( [Peugeot Boxer fuel pump failed and caused major damage - can I make a claim?]( Posted by on 3 May, 2022 I have a 2017 Peugeot Boxer Euro 6 2.0-litre HDI with only 26,000 mileage. The fuel pump failed (broken tooth) which caused stress on the camshaft, which broke the belt, which caused loads of damage. It needs new rockers, cam, fuel pump and perhaps more if the valves were damaged! My van has been serviced twice and is well looked after. I cannot believe this has happened and wonder if I have any redress from Peugeot as although it's out of warranty the mileage is really low and the van is not even five years old.
