[I got a parking ticket despite being in a marked bay - can I contest it?](
Posted by on 6 February, 2020
I got a PCN while parking in a marked parking bay. This parking bay is along a path with a drop kerb which is what my ticket was for - obstructing a drop kerb. Is this legal as itâs a marked parking bay?

[Where should we sell my father's classic Volkswagen Beetle?](
Posted by on 6 February, 2020
My father has a Volkswagen Beetle 1200cc which is reasonably good condition (for its age). At 96 he can no longer drive and wishes to sell the car. He bought it from new. Bearing in mind the age of the vehicle, what is the best way to go about this. There seems to be quite a few "sharks" online that are willing to quote, but somehow, I don't trust them.

[Where can I sell a 1984 Nissan Cherry?](
Posted by on 6 February, 2020
My uncle, who is sadly now suffering from demetia, has a petrol (1270 cc) 1984 Cherry which we'd like to sell on his behalf. It's currently garaged in West London, has been well looked after and has done just over 71k miles as well as being currently registered as SORN. I would like to sell it and find it a good home with perhaps someone who would appreciate it. Do you have a suggestion of a good place to sell such a vehicle?

[What's a good motorbike for a 10,000 mile trip?](
Posted by on 5 February, 2020
I've been riding bikes for about 50 years and have owned most of the well known makes. Currently I have a Harley which is fun. I've done a few trips around Europe on it and previous bikes. However, I'm planning a 10,000 mile trip for this summer. I am looking to buy a low maintenance, reliable long distance tourer. I don't want to have to regularly adjust a chain, so I'm looking at shaft/belt drive. Obvious choices are BMW's (twins and sixes), but I was hoping for something more interesting. I want one with a low seat or can be altered. Maybe a lighter bike too. It may be that you can think of a bike that I haven't thought of?

[Is there a product that can be sprayed on after jet washing to remove the water film rather than leaving to dry?](
Posted by on 5 February, 2020
Round here (rural Lincolnshire) the roads are filthy with mud from tractors and could be pressure washed just about every day. Is there a product that can be sprayed on after jet washing to remove the water film rather than leaving to dry, water marks everywhere, and removing the necessity to 'leather' or microfibre wipe down? In other words spray on and walk away!

I bought a car advertised as 'drives great'. On my way home from buying it I found it a death trap at higher speeds and a mechanic checked it and said it is unfit to drive due to recalls not being addressed and hidden damage that make the car unsafe to drive. What can I do?

I'm thinking of buying a one-year-old BMW 118i from a car supermarket with 10k miles on the clock. The car supermarket says the car was bought at auction. I was surprised that such a new car would have arrived via auction - is that anything to worry about?
