The firm ride is great for the times when you want to push on. But - we find the ride is too firm/harsh when driving normally and just pottering about. We have already fitted Michelin CrossClimate Tyres which have helped a bit. If we were to change to a new GTI, does the Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) make a significant difference to ride comfort? The one thing stopping me from progressing a purchase is the uncertainty of the death knell of ICE cars and being unsure of what technology to go for. What is your view on the viability of early adoption of what I see as untested tech and charging infrastructure and what is the prognosis on the depreciation of hybrid and pure electric cars? The water and engine oil are topped up. It normally runs at above 85 degrees then shoots up to 100 degrees, though lowers if I drop to 60mph. Is this an issue and any ideas to fix it? I am looking for vans with a tailgate. There are suddenly a lot of 2016 available, I’m assuming as the three-year warranty has ended and there is nothing younger than this. Is it worth waiting to see if a newer one becomes available or would you say that this is a reasonable age? How do I decide between the various ones available as I understand low mileage is not necessarily always the best deal - do I go with the best dealer warranty? Policy one is for a car with her as the main named driver and me as another which only does a couple of thousand miles a year. Policy two is for the car which is really our main car with me as the first named driver and my wife as the other. For about 18 months now I have been working away from home so have only driven the car on short trips home and my wife does not like driving the car so mostly stays with her own. For just over a year now our son in law was added to the policy and since then he has been the main driver. Last week he had an accident where he ran into the back of someone and tried to settle the costs without using insurance which the other driver refused. How do we stand with "shopping around" for cover for new policies for both cars? There will have been a claim made against the policy in my wife's name but neither of us were driving it or have had an accident. I understand that the legislation will be all petrol and diesel vehicles will be absolutely illegal to travel on the public roads. My question is if this legislation is successful then what will happen with all the vintage and restored vehicles that are presented say at car shows or the many museums of old cars around the country, it would also see the end of the London to Brighton old crocks race which has given people a lot of joy for many many years plus also the end of such places like Brooklands in Surrey.
