It must have some punch. What do you recomend? Can you suggest a smaller, but still economical, car that is fun to drive. I'm looking to spend £10k for a used car. I don't know what the pigeons around here eat but it is attacking the paintwork. I think that it’s road tar as the main road near where I live was resurfaced last week. What’s the best product to remove it without damaging the paintwork? A friend suggested Zippo lighter fuel but I don’t know whether that’s a good idea. The gear indicator on the dash (which tells you when to change gears) has stopped working. I’ve phoned my fleet team and they have said it’s a setting I need to change but I’m not convinced. Any idea what it could be? And yet my sister has been driving less time than me has received a renewal of £300 despite taking sabbatical from driving for 2 years and had the odd accident which was not her fault. We both live in same post code and have sedate occupations, why the wild discrepancies in the quotes? My husband wants to go fully electric, but most small vans simply don't have the power to pull a loaded trailer. Any ideas? The newer Berlingo is bulkier. Are there other models with the sort of headroom at the back as our current car without being bigger? My Suzuki SX4 is a brilliant 4WD car. However, it is not made anymore. What would be a similar car to look at for a suitable replacement? I'm looking for a car which is not too wide (for those narrow lanes) really high clearance, (for tracks and occasional off-road) and, if possible, 4WD capability too. I don't need fancy, I need practical. I've raised this with the dealer who has said they will put a year's MoT on it once it has sold, but that I can test drive it without an MoT because he has trade plates. Is this legal? However above 65mph the brakes seem to be very resistant when being pressed and need extra foot pressure, this can sometimes result in a sudden swerve one way. Below 65mph the brakes operate normally. When exceeding 70mph for a minute or two the ABS warning light appears on the dash panel. Once illuminated the car brakes correctly as if there is no problem. Can you suggest what the problem might be? A problem then occurs with your car so you need to stop. Are you allowed to pull over into lanes one or two, or do you stop in lane three and reduce the number of running lanes even further? There was a slow moving London Bus on my left, completely hiding the traffic light, and on the right-hand lane, a large stationary van turning right which covered the other traffic light. There was no second set of lights on the other side of the junction. I stayed in my lane and crossed the junction and was aware of a series of flashes in my rear view mirror. I believe I may have triggered the red light camera on that junction. It was only two days ago and so I do not yet know. Would I have any defence against the charge if I could demonstrate I was completely unable to see the lights and stopping suddenly with traffic moving either side and behind me would have been dangerous? It's 1996/1997, 100,000 miles on the clock and they believe it has had an engine rebuild at some point. It has a 300TDI engine in. It's a 2.5L Turbo Diesel. What do you think I should pay for it?
