Here is how to do the Eat From The Pantry & Freezer Challenge, plus how to declutter and organize your silverware drawer. Here is how to do the Eat From The Pantry & Freezer Challenge, plus how to declutter and organize your silverware drawer. [View this email in your browser]( [Home Storage Solutions 101: A Place For Everything That Matters]( Dear {NAME}, The next two weeks of the 52 Week Organized Home Challenge are all about food storage areas, first the pantry, and then the refrigerator and freezer. With this focus on food storage areas I thought this was the perfect time to announce an Eat From The Pantry & Freezer Challenge, where we use up a lot of our food stockpiles to: - make more shelf space - eliminate food waste; and - save money at the grocery store So will you join me in shopping first from your pantry and freezer, before any grocery shopping trips, for the next couple weeks? This will help you "declutter" excess from your pantry, fridge and freezer, as we also tackle these missions over the next few weeks. My article explains a bit more about this challenge and how you can participate too! There's also several printables available, as listed in the article, that can help you with the challenge, so don't miss them! Don't be impatient with yourself. Slow progress is still progress. Why do we think we can get our whole house decluttered and organized in a matter of days when it took perhaps years and years to get it to the point it is at right now? Same question for whatever New Year's resolution you recently made, from home organization, getting in the habit of exercising, or whatever. Statistically this is the time of year, already, in mid-January, when many New Year's resolutions get abandoned and we feel like a failure, because we feel like we're putting out a lot of effort for not enough visible change. But first, don't overextend yourself. You've got to ease into new habits or you'll burn yourself out. And second, don't be impatient with yourself. Slow progress is still progress! In fact, the whole point of the Declutter 365 program having such small daily decluttering steps is to give you the time to develop a daily decluttering habit, which is something we're focused on in the Declutter 365 Premium group right now. Join The Declutter 365 Premium Group For Help With Developing That Daily Decluttering Habit Building new habits isn't always easy, but fortunately I've designed the Declutter 365 program to help you adopt this habit more easily, and also have coaching available for you, right now, with concrete steps you can take to develop and ingrain this habit into your daily life. In the [Declutter 365 Premium group]( I've got a video session available, as soon as you join, that you can watch all about developing a daily decluttering habit. In this session you'll learn: - Why decluttering in small consistent steps is better than in large irregular bursts - How to create a 15 minute per day decluttering habit so you don't have to rely on fickle motivation (including 4 concrete steps you can take to make this a habit for yourself) - How to use the Declutter 365 method for decluttering so you make continual progress, without making a huge mess in the middle. [Declutter 365 Premium]( [Declutter 365 Premium]( How To Declutter & Organize Your Silverware Drawer In this Declutter 365 mission I want you to declutter your silverware drawer and then organize and tidy it up. You probably already use most of your silverware so this task probably will involve more straightening, or removing items that shouldn't belong there than decluttering. However, if you have excess cutlery you can also get rid of some of these pieces. You can get inspiration and ideas for decluttering, tidying and organizing your silverware drawer here in this article, with lots of pictures from real people who've already taken on this mission. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
