[View this email in your browser]( [Home Storage Solutions 101: A Place For Everything That Matters]( Week #19 Challenge: Organize Receipts And Tax Documents Challenge Dear {NAME}, Have you filed your taxes for this year yet? I know this year has been strange, because normally, at least in the U.S., personal tax returns must be filed by April 15th, but this year there was an automatic extension. Whether you've already filed though, or are still getting ready to this year, the steps in this week's Organized Home Challenge, all about [organizing tax documents and receipts]( will help with that. Plus, if you follow the steps in the challenge then next year's tax filing deadline will not feel so ominous! This week's tasks will not be too hard for most people, since if your taxes are easy to do your organization system for receipts and tax documents can be simple too. On the other hand, the more complicated your tax situations is, the more onerous your organizing requirements may become. This challenge is geared towards creating a personal tax organizer system that leans towards simplicity, since that is realistically all that many of us need. However, if you do a lot of itemization of deductions, or have a small business or partnership for example, always consult a tax professional for the final say on what types of items to file and keep for reference for your taxes. You can get the full instructions for how to organize both receipts and tax documents in this week's challenge article. At the beginning of this year you decided that you wanted to get your home decluttered, and you were going to follow the Declutter 365 daily missions to get it done. If you've been following the plan you know it's very simple, but effective. Each day you're given one task that you work on for 15 minutes (or longer, but only if you wish to), that will help you slowly, but surely, remove clutter from your home while developing the habits and routines to keep your home clutter free, from now on. Of course, before you can do the day's task, you've got to remember and be reminded of the day's task! And sometimes, this can be a stumbling block. That's why I wanted to do something to help everyone remember what the day's task is, and it came to me -- [text messages]( Many of us carry around our phone everywhere, and when we hear that little ding signaling an incoming text we glance down and read what's been sent. It's already a habit for us. So why not use that habit to our advantage? Each morning, at 8:00 a.m. EST, approximately, I send out a text telling you exactly what you should declutter and work on, in your home, that day. You hear the ding on your phone once the text is received, you read the message, and then you can plan how you'll get that task done sometime during the day! Simple, and yet quite effective. And right now I've got a sale on the Declutter 365 text messages for $9 off the rest of the year, when you use promo code SPRING2020 at checkout. That means this is the lowest price I've ever offered these texts! Please note that these texts are available only for U.S. based mobile phone numbers. Do not purchase these texts if you have an international number. Make sure to use promo code SPRING2020 at checkout, for $9 off the rest of the year!
