[View in browser]( [Decorating Fascinating Spaces With Colourful Art Accents]( Colourful art accents make fascinating additions to this peacefully grey and white based modern interior, visualised by [Maxim Shpinkov](. The bright eye-catching art pieces come in the form of stand alone sculpture and solo wall pieces that burst from plain white backdrops. Other works of art inspire rich colour coordinated feature walls that entirely change the character of the spaces they populate. Aside from the home gallery of colour, this interior also plays home to an inspiring collection of contemporary furniture design, a wonderfully open and fluidly functional living space, a restful master bedroom, a playful kid’s room with a homework area, and two striking bathroom decor schemes with dominating marble tile. Entering this family home at the living room, we come to a [modular sofa]( design with a divided backrest. Instead of acting as a solid divide between the lounge and kitchen diner, the light piece allows an open visual between the two. A [square coffee table]( makes a quiet match for the contemporary couch. Grey scatter pillows meld with the pale greige upholstery. In a startling stance of colour, a huge [Bearbrick]( collectible by Medicom Toy gleams between the two large living room windows. A duo of tower shelving units glow warmly inside the TV wall at the front of the lounge area, where a small library of books fill up the vertical, backlit nooks. The sleek, custom-built [TV unit]( encompasses several storage cabinets and niches in which to flush fit the TV speakers. A wood veneer media cabinet threads a linear silhouette beneath the wall hung unit, where it provides a run of drawers for movies, games and electronics. Behind the lounge, a [linear chandelier]( marks the dining space. A second, perpendicular linear chandelier defines the kitchen. Stunning ceiling roses flare around each gold light fitting. Modern track lights frame decorative ceiling moulding. A racetrack dining table is encircled by the [Neva chair]( by Marija Ružić Vukmanić & Ruđer Novak-Mikulić for Artisan. A monochrome piece of wall art has been selected to keep the dining area low key, and to allow adjacent kitchen art to command the limelight. The bold kitchen art establishes bright, abstract interest next to a clean white [kitchen island]( design. A white marble countertop shines beneath the gold [linear suspension light](. Fresh white kitchen units frame a run of metallic gold upper cabinets that lustre in the light. Matching gold island facing catches the light behind a set of three unique [kitchen bar stools](. Inside the master, a pair of elegant glass and metal [bedroom pendant lights]( balance out each side of the bed. The lights descend within the recess of a wood framed headboard feature wall with an atmospheric aura. Simple bedside drawer units flank each edge of the soft grey [upholstered bed](. Parallel track lights stream illumination down each walkway around the modern bed. An underlit [floating tv stand]( provides light at the foot of the bed. A solid black media shelf confidently complements bold black door hardware across the closets. The black media shelf transforms into a dressing table as it nears the window wall. A storage [vanity stool]( pulls up at the floor-to-ceiling vanity mirror. A [modern bathroom vanity]( pushes black and oak accents through a smooth white marble covered backdrop. Black bathroom faucets complement the dark surface and integrated basin. The black toilet, flush plate and black towel warmer continue the punchy bathroom accent. A steel framed shower screen coordinates with a black rainfall showerhead. Recessed shelving nooks in the shower area provide an opportunity for subtle mood lighting. Moving on into the kids room, we land on a playful black and white [rug]( design. Superhero [Bobbleheads]( populate a built-in bookcase, lit warmly with LED ribbons. A custom kid’s desk merges with the tower of shelving to form a compact and functional homework area. An upholstered swivel chair and a radiator under the desk make doing homework more comfortable and cosy. A white window blind and sheer white drapes filter natural daylight for more comfortable computer screen usage. Floor-to-ceiling fitted wardrobes capitalise on every inch of available storage space. A piece of colourful and cute kid’s wall art inspires an orange painted feature wall in the kid’s bedroom decor scheme. A green knitted throw on the kid’s bed picks out a secondary accent colour. The daybed design makes a neat little sofa during daylight hours–perfect for hanging out with friends. A small wall sconce provides reading light later on in the evening. Striking white marble tile with abundant black vein dominates this small bathroom design, cladding the narrow floor and a compact vanity area. At the other end of the room, a marble encased [bathtub]( and wetwall are highlighted by perimeter lighting. A final marble upstand climbs the cistern concealment wall. A red saturated wall draws the eye down the hallway from the white living room towards the home entryway. Red paintwork wraps around to frame an ornate, gilded full length mirror. Raucous colour explodes from wall art at the other side of the front door, where it draws attention to an entryway table. White closets line the walls of the home entryway, providing copious amounts of storage for outdoor coats, shoes, bags and bulky household cleaning equipment. Matching white closets create a mirrored effect on the opposite side, edged with luxe gold hardware.
