Despite limitations, the modern trio set the bar high for style and small space innovation. We visit a light flat with an integrated kitchen island/dining table design and one storage packed bathroom. In contrast, we’ll tour a dramatic graphite abode with punchy blue furniture accents. A loggia and glass wall bedroom design deliver shared natural light solutions through the dark decor. Finally we’ll walk through an interior with a layered approach to colour and pattern, featuring an array muted green and blue elements and expanses of geometric pattern. Visualizer: [Studio Open]( Our first home is a 45.5 square metre apartment in Kharkiv, Ukraine. A [white living room]( with a whisper of grey sets a cool and airy tone. The sofa is a tiny sectional arrangement, but a long window seat offers extra seating plus storage. A slim, darker grey wall panel is positioned behind the couch to briefly zone the lounge from the very close dining area. One section of the small sofa can be rotated for social interaction with the kitchen/dining half of the floor home. A rectangle [chandelier]( draws the perimeter of a kitchen island with attached dining table. Three modern dining chairs sit at the dining table extension, their colourway blending gently with the pale backdrop. Black legs give the chairs a stroke of definition that ties in with black accents across the one wall kitchen. A couple of [decorative vases]( make a simple centrepiece for the [minimalist dining]( table. Black wire shelves break up the run of kitchen cabinets, bringing added dimension to the [small kitchen](. A matt black [faucet]( and matching sink contrast with the light grey countertop. Deep drawers give added function to the [kitchen island](. Light oak flooring threads a hint of warmth through the living room floor plan, and continues into the bedroom. Inside the bedroom, a sleek [platform bed]( combines oak and grey accents. A glass closet increases the sense of space and light. The upholstered headboard design wraps the corners of the bed niche, where it supports a [wall light]( on each side. Fully-fitted furniture fills out the compact bathroom. Small [bathroom vanity lights]( make a subtle addition by a huge vanity mirror, which draws bold black form against the pale grey backsplash. A black faucet fills a contrasting [bathroom sink](. An [entryway bench]( and an elliptical mirror are coupled up to create a mini foyer within the open plan living space. The floor plan illustrates an installation of closets at the other side of the entry door, tucked behind a shelved room divider. Designer: [Yana Prydalna]( This 46.6 square metre apartment was redesigned for a child-free couple. The main objective of the project was to combine the original kitchen and living room, whilst making space for a dining table. A dramatic graphite colour scheme is uplifted with [blue living room]( pieces like the [modern sofa](, a [round coffee table](, and a blue area [rug](. A bright seating area is tucked behind a partition from the kitchen. A dining bar runs off the side of this loggia, allowing the homeowners to admire the view over a cup of coffee. The support leg of the bar features custom-cut niches for wine storage. A blue [ottoman]( is settled in the home entryway, introducing the first pop of blue upon arrival. During the redesign, a serpentine partition was fashioned between the entry hall and bedroom to form a closet niche on each side. The dining bar also has a view of the TV over the back of the sofa. Different flooring is installed as a zoning technique. The entry hall, kitchen diner and loggia are all tiled in contrast to warm wooden boards in the living room and bedroom. The glass wall bedroom shares natural light with the lounge. Modern [bedroom pendant lights]( add elegant form to an attractive wood veneer headboard wall. The floor plan shows the compact kitchen concealed behind a bifold facade, with the refrigerator set into a separate niche on the right. To the left of the hidden work surface, there is a case of appliances, including a coffee machine and the oven. Visualizer: [Between The Walls]() This 46.6 square metre one-room apartment belongs to a young family in Kyiv. Light base decor is accented with muted green and blue shades. The stylish [round coffee table]( is the [Muuto Around Coffee Table](. Glass doors lead to the bedroom. A dining peninsula divides the living space. Low hanging [unique kitchen pendant lights]( help to divide the open plan room. A geometric kitchen backsplash combines the light tan wood tone accent and blue hints in the room. Pale blue wall cabinets contrast softly with oak base units. Black fixtures add punch to the powdery palette. A modern [entry bench]( pairs with a stylish shoe rack by the door. Moving into the bedroom, layered [rugs]( build a cosy and eclectic aesthetic. Duotone wall panels cut the tall room height. An exposed concrete ceiling section adds a touch of industrial style. A [bedroom chair](, a side table and small floor lamp make up a comfortable reading spot by the window. The other side of the window is home to a unique desk/vanity table design and a contemporary [desk chair](. Geo tiles flood the bathroom floor and bathtub with a fresh and colourful design solution. A sliding glass screen transforms the tub into a rainfall shower enclosure. One bed floor plan.
