Each property wraps around a resident tree, which becomes a living, growing entity of the home. The houses open up along their borders to meet freely with green courtyards and gardens. The lush spaces instill a sense of peace and tranquility into the properties and their owners, and influence earthy decor schemes. As a result, these homes feel well rounded and grounded, on top of being clear forerunners in style and sophistication. Here you will find modern furniture mixed with eclectic finds, and plenty of Mother Nature’s own finishing touches. Natural materials and earthy tones highlight its Brazilian roots, which come into alignment with a contemporary and cosmopolitan living style. The design pushes integration between interior and exterior space. Natural elements weave into the materials of the house and its furniture. Of course, the standout element of the living space is a huge Flamboyant tree, also known as a royal poinciana or ‘flame tree’ for its fiery display of red-orange flowers in the summer. A garden statue stands gazing toward the tree, as though in awe of its natural beauty. The garden palette influences the interior decoration. “The nuances of Brazilian fruits, such as the rich nuances of brown, the color of cocoa, the red of cashew, the bright yellow of mango, in addition to exploring the amber, rust and orange tones, served as an inspiring mood for development of the production of the entire project, without losing focus on cozy minimalism ” reflects the designers. Natural inspiration shapes the kitchen perhaps most of all, where a unique soapstone island looks as if it has been carved out of the very land upon which it stands. The soapstone was in fact extracted from Minas Gerais, supplied by Pagliotto, and transformed by Suite Arquitetos into this stunning bench. The L-shaped property opens up along its full length to the green courtyard area. A volume of wood supports the roof plan and forms a beautiful visual divide between the living space and bedroom. A huge area rug lays out a white island beneath a white [modern sofa](, stylish lounge chairs and a collection of [small side tables](. The double sided sofa configuration means that the homeowner can be turned toward the courtyard in times of contemplative rest, or use the same furniture piece for functional interaction at social gatherings. A deep club chair faces across the room to a tall backed [lounge chair]( in contrasting colour. A cluster of coffee tables jostle in the centre of the space. The mixed furniture curation sends out an eclectic yet discerning vibe. A bunch of coffee table books stack on the multitude of [square coffee tables](. Scatter cushions pull warm accents into the lounge, each shade different yet totally in sync with the surroundings.
