[Two Beautiful Blue Interiors: Interior Design Ideas]() [Link to Interior Design Ideas]() --------------------------------------------------------------- [Two Beautiful Blue Interiors](r/home-designing/~3/dN6mK6716HQ/two-beautiful-blue-interiors?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email) Posted: 13 Dec 2018 06:15 AM PST These two beautiful blue interiors, created by designer [Joy Chen](, Taiwan, show just how different a specific colour theme can be. The first inspirational blue home interior is a large open plan; tones of mid-blue and deep royal blue set a crisp scene, which is accented by vivid chartreuse. The second home tour shows us a smaller space that is decorated in robin egg blue paint and accessories. Gold trimmings with this particular shade evoke an elegant and classic air, though this is counterbalanced by many more modern pieces. Lovers of the blue colour spectrum will find something to love in each of these two interiors, but which one would you choose as your home? Bam. A statement blue sofa sits dead centre in our first home scheme, in a leatherette finish. The modern sofa is dressed with plump blue scatter cushions to double the effect. A dark accent wall behind the sofa makes the light blue upholstery stand out. Storage furniture is neutral white and wood tone. The middle of the lounge area is occupied by a pair of [nesting coffee tables](, set on a muted grey and chartreuse rug. A sofa end table displays a couple of decorative items, whilst a duo of tree stump side tables equip the other side of the L-shaped arrangement. A small [plant stand]( introduces some natural greenery by the window. A wooden dining set slots into place behind the sofa, next to a blue kitchen peninsula. Vivid chartreuse bar stools provide zesty contrast against royal blue kitchen siding. A mezzanine volume overlooks the open plan living room. Two dining benches sit at one side of the generously proportioned wood dining table, with dining chairs taking up the other side. Large windows are dressed with sheer grey drapes and venetian window blinds. A [modern chandelier]( makes an chic addition to the dining area. Sliding doors give access to a hallway. [Swivel bar stools]( can turn easily between conversation with the cook and with guests in the lounge or dining areas. Light coloured counters top the blue [U-shaped kitchen](. Brown tiles create a tonal backsplash behind the hob and linear cooker hood. Built-in shelves house a neat magazine collection and a few decorative pieces. A floating staircase climbs a bright blue wall. A desk has been built right into the modern staircase design. The bathroom is a relaxing grey scene with no blue in sight. A bespoke bathroom vanity shelf, equipped with [double sinks](, merges with the grey walls. A bathroom tv is fitted flush into the wall at the foot of the tub. The small cloakroom is equally stylish. This time a jet black vanity shelf with rustic wood effect storage drawers contrasts with light grey wall tiles. Behind the dining area, a piano finds a home beside storage units. A librarian ladder runs a rail right across it to access the upper cabinets. The sliding wood effect door by the kitchen conceals a secret… … This is the entrance to another staircase. LED stair lights are installed for nightfall. Up on the mezzanine, a chair is positioned by the window for reading or contemplation. Our second blue home is furnished with a grey [modern sofa](, so this time the colour is introduced to the seating via scatter cushions and a throw. The big colour hit comes from painted furniture behind the sofa, which is awash with gloriously bright robin egg blue. Gold trims add an elegant regal look to the bright blue paintwork. A desk has been situated behind the sofa. The large blue storage units and display shelves equip the work area. To one side of this setup there is a sewing table, lit by a practical [swing arm wall lamp](. The sofa end table holds design reference books. A gold floor lamp with a blue shade lights the work desk. The open plan lounge leads on to a dining area with a live edge wood table. Grey tiles make up the tv wall decor, along with a long wooden media unit and matching wall shelves. The dining table holds a menagerie of decorative dining items to construct a welcoming vibe. A black runner cuts across the natural look table, to match with dark dining chairs. Above the table, a golden [chandelier]( matches the gold wire framed [fruit bowl]( on the runner. The bedroom has a minimalist aesthetic. Walls are kept white and furniture is natural wood tone. However, beautiful blue still pushes through in accent cushions on the [platform bed](. A wooden bench acts as one bedside unit. At the other side of the bed, a floating drawer unit is mounted to the wide headboard wall panel. The orb pendant light above it is the [IC Lights S Style Pendant](. The original is available [here](. See more ideas for modern [bedroom pendant lights]( here. A soft tasselled bed throw adds colour to grey bedclothes. The dressing room is furnished with a high quality wooden closet system, complete with LED edge strips to light the garment rails and accessory drawers. Wall-to-wall natural wood effect panels, bespoke shelving and flooring create warm looking decor in the kid’s play room. A child’s wooden desk and chair set, plus a rocking kangaroo toy add to the wholesome natural look. A nature mural is chalked onto a blue accent panel.
