Netflix is making changes to its C-Suite, naming new executives to oversee its nascent advertising business, as well as its technology and product divisions. Jeremi Gorman will be departing as its head of ad sales, with Amy Reinhard, a seven-year veteran of the company, becoming president of advertising. Eunice Kim has been promoted to chief product officer, while Elizabeth Stone will become its chief technology officer. [The story.]( —A bit of clarity. With the SAG-AFTRA strike ongoing, there have been questions about how the stoppage will impact the Screen Actors Guild Awards season. The conventional wisdom in Hollywood has been that movies starring white male protagonists are the most reliable guarantor of high ticket grosses. Rush Hour director Brett Ratner has reportedly immigrated to Israel. On Tuesday, Israeli media reported that Ratner had acquired an Israeli immigration certificate and national insurance documents. After a solid showing for its initial broadcast, The Golden Bachelor continued gathering momentum in the subsequent days — enough to hit a three-year high for The Bachelor franchise in total viewers. The Sept. 28 premiere rose to 7.7m viewers after three days of cross-platform viewing, a gain of 3.34m viewers (and almost 77 percent) over its on-air tally of 4.36m. [The ratings.]( —Premium perk. Spotify is broadening its audiobooks offering by giving all paid subscribers 15 hours of listening per month. Rather than purchase audiobooks à la carte, premium subscribers will be able to open the app and opt to listen to more than 150,000 audiobooks from all the major publishers. The offering rolled out in the U.K. and Australia on Tuesday, with other markets, including the U.S., expected to launch this winter. [The story.]( —Moving forward. A federal judge has ruled that Disney must face an antitrust lawsuit accusing it of illegally taking advantage of its dual role as a content supplier and distributor. The proposed class action from YouTube TV subscribers took aim at Disney’s ownership of Hulu, the country’s second-largest live-streaming pay TV provider, and ESPN, cable’s most expensive channel controlled by Disney that’s widely regarded as the driver of price hikes for consumers over the past decade. [The story.]( —Settlement. Chris Tucker will pay $3.6m to settle claims he shorted the government on taxes when he was at the peak of his fame. THR's [Winston Cho]( reports that the deal reached on Monday will cover unpaid federal income tax liabilities for 2002, 2006, 2008 and 2010. The government sought roughly $9.68m. Tucker has been wrapped up in various disputes over his taxes since 2010. In 2014, he settled a $14m bill with the IRS after a lien was placed on one of his properties. Universal has taken the international rights to Antoine Fuqua's Michael Jackson biopic, Michael. Lionsgate is behind the project that will see Jackson's nephew Jaafar Jackson play him in the film about his life.
