Netflix renews Outer Banks. — [Abid Rahman]( BAFTA Awards 2023 âº🏆 Wunderbar! 🏆 All Quiet on the Western Front made good on its record number of BAFTA nominations with a major haul of wins at the film awards ceremony on Sunday night. At London’s Royal Festival Hall, Netflix’s German anti-war epic took the BAFTAs for best film, alongside best adapted screenplay and best director, and hoovered up most of the craft honors for a total of seven gongs (a BAFTA record for a film not in the English language). Judd Apatow let loose on Tom Cruise during his DGA Awards monologue on Saturday night, roasting the superstar on everything from his height to his commitment to Scientology. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the third film in Marvel Studios' stand-alone superhero series, is headed for a franchise-best domestic debut of $118m at the Presidents' Day box office, including $104m for the three days. Estimates will be updated on Monday morning. Overseas, Ant-Man 3 collected $121.3m for an early global start of $238.3m. One sore spot was China, where the movie collected a tepid $19.2m, far less than the previous two installments. Saving Private Ryan actor Tom Sizemore has been hospitalized following a brain aneurysm, his spokesperson told THR. Sizemore was found at his Los Angeles home Sunday around 2 a.m. unconscious after he had collapsed following the medical emergency. After he was found, the actor was transported to an L.A. hospital, where he is now currently under observation in the intensive care unit. John Oliver took Fox News Channel to the mat on Sunday night during the 10th-season premiere of Last Week Tonight. At the top of his HBO talk show, which has been on hiatus since November, Oliver brought up the court filings that were made public last week in a $1.6b defamation lawsuit against Fox News related to the 2020 election fraud claims. Richard Belzer, the beloved comedian who began as an edgy stand-up performer before finding further fame as the cynical but stalwart detective John Munch on Homicide: Life on the Street and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, has died. He was 78. Belzer died early Sunday at his home in Bozouls in southwest France, writer Bill Scheft, a longtime friend of the actor, told THR. “He had lots of health issues, and his last words were, ‘Fuck you, motherfucker,'” Scheft said.
