[The Hollywood Reporter]( Today In Entertainment FEBRUARY 08, 2021 What's news: Where did all the Super Bowl movie trailers and streaming service commercials go? A Super Bowl roundup with everything that you may have missed yesterday, Michael B. Jordan's Outlier Society and Amazon strike a deal, The Little Things once again tops the box office, Trump barred from re-joining SAG-AFTRA, did China's Wanda cash in during AMC's stock surge? Plus: News from the Euro film fests, and what you may have missed on Saturday Night Live. --Alex Weprin [Super Bowl Roundup] Super Bowl Roundup The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, led by Tom Brady, handily beat the Kansas City Chiefs, led by Patrick Mahomes, in the Super Bowl yesterday 31-9. But you probably knew that already... +The trailers: 2021 is still makes with uncertainty as it relates to the theatrical film business, and that as reflected in the Super Bowl with far fewer trailers than normal. M. Night Shyamalan and Universal surprised with the [debut trailer for Old](, which will bow in theaters this summer... Universal also presented a trailer for F9: The Fast Saga, though notably it didn't specify a release date in the trailer, instead saying "In theaters soon"... Disney had a trailer [for Raya and the Last Dragon]( as well as one for [Falcon and the Winter Soldier](... +Fewer streamers too: In hindsight, last year's Super Bowl may have marked peak streaming service, at least when it comes to Super Bowl ads (remember Quibi's spot? Neither do I, but they had one). This year it was pretty much the Paramount+ and Disney+ show. Yes, YouTube sponsored the pre-game, but during the game itself, the only other ads for streaming services came from Disney, or ViacomCBS itself. --ViacomCBS used the game to turbocharge its forthcoming launch of Paramount+, airing a number of shot spots throughout the game, highlighting all of the characters and talent from its brands, as well as the fact that it will have live news and sports. The ad tracker MediaRadar says that ads for Paramount+ accounted for a third of all of ViacomCBS' house ads. Disney, meanwhile, teased a few upcoming projects (see above) and ran an ad for th "Disney Bundle" of Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu. +The halftime show: The Weeknd took the sole spotlight during the halftime show at the 2021 Super Bowl on Sunday. The performer (real name Abel Tesfaye) stayed true to his promise of his "solo act," and was not joined by any surprise celebrity performers during the show — if one doesn't count the several look-alike dancers with bandaged faces. [Here's what happened](. +The commercials: There were a bunch of commercials with well-known actors personalities. Daveed Diggs and the Sesame Street muppets (controversially!) starred in an [ad for DoorDash](... Jason Alexander (or, his face on a hoodie) starred in an [ad for Tide](... Winona Ryder and Timothe Chalamet starred in an Edward Scissorhands-themed [ad for Cadillac](... There was the Wayne's World [ad for Uber Eats]( and the "Flat Matthew [McConaughey]" [ad for Doritos](... Dan Levy, Will Ferrell, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, Nick Jonas, Bruce Springsteen and Amy Schumer also appears in ads. [CNBC has a complete list](... "What was supposed to be a Super Bowl unlike any other ended up the exact same way as seven of the past 19 Super Bowls — namely with Tom Brady holding the trophy and everybody else complaining about Tom Brady." [Read more about Dan's thoughts on the halftime show, commercials and more, here](. +Meanwhile, it may be a good thing that CBS All Access isn't long for this world: The app crashed for many users ahead of the kickoff. The app, run by Super Bowl broadcaster CBS, was not working ahead of the start of the game for users trying to join the live stream. Many receive an error message that read: "Uh oh. An error has occurred, but we're working on fixing it. We'll be up and running again shortly!" Those already streaming the broadcast did not appear to be affected. Live streaming resumed a few minutes into the start of the game. A representative for CBS All Access confirmed that the issue had been resolved. [The story](. +Amanda Gorman's poem: Gorman read an original poem Sunday during the pregame festivities in Tampa, Florida. The poem was a tribute to three people for their contributions during the pandemic: educator Trimaine Davis, nurse manager Suzie Dorner and Marine veteran James Martin.
