While ostensibly part of the largest conglomerate in the watchmaking world – the Swatch Group – Rado has continuously centered its brand ethos around being both a pioneer of materials as well as being unafraid to lean into eccentricity. Rado's watchmaking history dates back to 1917 when the trio of Schlup brothers converted part of their parent's home in Lengnau, Switzerland, into a humble but mighty atelier.
