However, in collaboration with creative genius of Guillaume Laidet, Vulcain has fearlessly reentered the realm of watches, breathing new life into its cherished heritage designs to suit the contemporary landscape. BY ERIN WILBORN [READ MORE IN THE SHOP JOURNAL]( [Vulcain Cricket Classique]( Back in September of 2022, we reported on the legendary Cricket's prodigal return, and now, we're thrilled to offer a handful of the Cricket reissues (including the Salmon dial limited edition) along with the Skindiver that calls upon one of the brands most successful dive watches of the 1960s. THE CRICKET CLASSIQUE [Vulcain Cricket Classique]( The Cricket Classique maintains the signature chirping alarm and art-deco design of the original models. The Cricket Classique is an instant charmer with its retro sector dial and geometric Arabic numerals and alpha hands. Adding to its heritage-inspired aesthetic, the indices and hands have been coated with faux-aged luminescent material. This watch is available in three playful colorways full of vintage charm. THE CRICKET TRADITION Among the series of the newly revived Cricket, the Tradition stands out as a touch dressier, a touch more formal with its pleasant 36mm diameter and refined black and gold colorway. The dial faithfully references a model from the brand's 1950s catalog with its applied markers alternating between arrow and Arabic numerals and thin dauphine hands. Like the Cricket Classique, this watch is powered by the Vulcain Cricket manufactured V10 movement. [Vulcain Cricket Tradition]( THE SKINDIVER [Vulcain Skindiver]( Based on the 1960 Skindiver Nautique, the new Skindiver is a faithful tribute to Vulcain's original diver. This model maintains a universally comfortable diameter of 38mm and features a unidirectional bezel of scratch-resistant ceramic— a welcome upgrade from the original model. Available in both sunburst blue and black, the matte dial sports yellowed lume plots and squared lume-filled hands made to resemble aged tritium to further enhance the vintage-inspired charm.
