By elevating the eccentric rings from the hours at the outer edge, minutes on the next level, and the seconds higher yet. The domed sapphire crystal reaches a full 10.2mm above the main plate for a striking view of the time and exposed mechanical components. The hours, minutes, and seconds are expressed on geared time-telling rings which each rotate counterclockwise and are always read at the top of each ring. The hours are indicated at the outer edge of the dial, where the trefoil shape points to the time. One can simply glance at this ring to get an immediate general reading of the time. Minutes are displayed via a ring which is displayed in the smaller aperture near 11 o'clock, with seconds turning on a yet smaller, fully exposed ring at 8 o'clock. Despite the novelty of this eccentric configuration, time telling is entirely intuitive.
