This bezel, which is produced from a combination of pure titanium powder and Ti64 titanium, has been subjected to a recrystallization process and a blue-gray AIP treatment, the results of which are distinctive to each watch.]( WHY WE LOVE IT The Dial [Black and adorned with a special rectangular pattern, its perimeter is designed to look like a Japanese folding screen or fan. Within this perimeter is a gold-accented, combination day-of-the-week and function indicator at 3 o’clock; a second time zone indicator between 6 and 7 o’clock; and a 24-hour indicator at 10 o’clock, all of whose color accents are meant to evoke the steel blades and hand guards of traditional Japanese swords.]( [G-SHOCK 'Gassan']( [G-SHOCK 'Gassan']( The Case [The case is heat-treated and hardened with a titanium carbide blue-grey AIP (arc ion plating) finish, which improves wear resistance and results in a crystal-like pattern, resembling that of Japanese swords.
