And now, King Seiko has officially returned from its decades-long slumber in a new, limited-edition run of 3,000 watches.]( KING SEIKO 'KSK' LIMITED EDITION SJE083 [Seiko selected the legendary second-generation "KSK" from 1965  for this release, building on the excellent King Seiko foundation laid by designer Taro Tanaka. The proportions are almost identical to the vintage models but with a slightly larger profile measuring 38.1mm × 11.4mm.]( [Each angle and facet shares the same extensive polished finish courtesy of the distortion-free Zaratsu technique, with an application of the proprietary "Super-Hard" coating to strengthen the outside of the King Seiko's steel. Other vintage-appropriate details include the textured Seiko-signed buckle and the Seiko-signed crown that's stamped with a "W" to indicate its water resistance capability.]( [On the dial, the King Seiko logo has been replicated with precision, and the dauphine hands and hour markers are individually diamond-cut to reflect any semblance of light. The 12 o'clock double hour marker, however, has been decorated with a unique crosshatch texture that carries over from the 1965 King Seiko examples.]( [The self-winding caliber 6L35 inside is a departure from the original's manual stature. While it includes a three o'clock date complication, the case thickness has been increased by only 0.5mm.
