The Ressence Type 5X Has Arrived

Ressence races into its second decade with its first automotive-inspired watch. [For the brand's 10-year anniversary, Ressence has reimagined the Type 5's watersport remit to create the Type 5X, the ultimate driver's watch.]( [With the Ressence Type 5X, the brand's sporty dive watch has been redesigned in partnership with Italian race car driver and designer Eugenio Amos to create a one-of-a-kind take on the classic driving watch.]( [THE RESSENCE TYPE 5X]( [The genesis of the Type 5X began when Amos, founder of Automobili Amos, visited Ressence's Antwerp headquarters and asked, "Would it be possible to make a genuine driver's watch that has a function related to time and cars?"]( [And with that, the bezel of the Type 5X was redesigned for those racing or working on vehicles equipped with turbochargers. You'll notice a unique set of markings and divisions on the bezel; one portion of which is dedicated to warming up the engine, and the second half is intended to indicate the elapsed time as a turbo cools down. It has everything you might need at the race track.]( [Ressence also adapted the colors of the dial and sub-dials to better reflect the dashboard graphics of one of Automobili Amos' most well-known designs, the Lancia Delta Futurista. These red and yellow accents further offset the comprehensive olive-green dial tone, while the emblematic oil-filled chamber causes the colors to darken and soften in the light.]( [A special rubber accessory featuring the 'Levati' graphic from the Lancia's steering wheel accompanies the Type 5X, which can be fitted with the watch on the wrist.
